I honestly don’t mind it. But It’s massive. Do you guys agree?

if USB-C is the main selling point, count me way out!

even if camera is a bit better, got enough of a leap from 12 pro to 14 pro max

At this point they might as well have the camera bump be one single glass pane. The deep space around the three lenses has become a dust and dirt magnet. The aesthetic could reflect the look of the Ultra watch face, like others have mentioned.

Ug! Can we please have a phone with just a "good enough" bumpless camera?

Not all of us want/need to take pictures/video at stupid high resolutions or need to zoom in to the molecular level!

Edited to correct my brain-fart.
You could just buy an iPhone SE or something?

4 generations in a row of this design language, what happened to the 5C shaped design that was rumoured? While this ties with the 6-8 as the longest lived design, the X was also introduced alongside the 8, so there was a new design in 2017.

That looks really cool, the cameras look larger/thicker which will drastically improve physics of photography. I’m looking forward to buying whatever the high end 15 is… 👍🏻

USB-C will have me upgrade, but TBH I wanted something way more "extreme" - IE throw caution to the wind and pack the thing with battery, make the entire phone the camera bump thickness (To have a perfectly flat back) and give it week long battery life. Keep the "pro"/"standard" models in their current thickness, but ultra gets ultra frame (titanium) and ultra battery.

I want to see how that compares to a regular iPhone 13 because it’s already bad enough on this one I’m typing this on. Very painful bumping the lens when you put it down and especially when it’s not a flat surface you are just too aware of it and there’s 2 cameras on this that don’t even protrude that much compared to the 14 Pro. It’s 100% going to get scratched up or cracked the day I decided to treat it like I treat my Samsung.

Improved cameras have become an expectation so we're stuck with a large bump that'll probably get bigger.

Welp, I suppose it's time to flip the script and come out with cameras that also make phone calls instead of the other way around. So many people just want the camera anyway.

Hey, big 3 camera makers of Japan, are you listening?

If I were Samsung I would start annoying Apple by making a thicker phone with no bump, and then brag about how it sits flat on a table and the battery lasts for days... I can imagine them doing a whole series of adds lampooning enormous bulges on top-heavy iPhones with batteries that barely last the day. If Apple had a non-bump version with a much bigger battery, I would buy it tomorrow.

I can’t do this anymore Apple. What the hell is going on with that camera bump

More of the same unfortunately. This is what happens when people buy anything, even with extremely poor design and aesthetic. Why does Apple care? They’re going to sell millions upon millions (and at a higher price) and they know it. They don’t care if their design is trash. Money is the only language capitalism speaks with.

Multiple rumors have indicated that there are a handful of design changes that are coming to the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, and to demonstrate what we might see, Ian Zelbo has created a series of renders that were shared by 9to5Mac.

With the iPhone 15 lineup, a USB-C port will be added to all iPhone 15 models in lieu of the Lightning port. Based on the renders, the port won't look significantly different, but there may be some changes to the speaker holes at the bottom.

The iPhone 15 Pro models are expected to have somewhat thinner bezels than than the iPhone 14 Pro models, plus there is a minor change to the curve of the edges. The frame is slightly more curved and the glass curves into the edges, a subtle but noticeable tweak.

Zelbo's renders suggest that the iPhone 15 Pro camera bump will be thicker than the iPhone 14 Pro camera bump, with the lenses expected to be thicker as well. The layout is generally the same, and it is worth noting that the iPhone 15 Pro Max is expected to get a unique periscope lens that will not be available on other iPhone 15 models.

With rumors that the iPhone 15 Pro models will transition to solid state buttons rather than physical buttons for the volume and power controls, we can expect some design changes. The renders do not appear to have the finished buttons included, as they are based on "early CAD drawings" likely sourced from Apple suppliers.

Overall, the iPhone 15 Pro models will look similar to the iPhone 14 Pro models based on these renders, but there will be some notable design updates that refine the look of the devices. For more on what to expect from the iPhone 15 Pro models, we have a dedicated roundup with all of the rumors.

I just hope the lower models that have lightning still are good. I’ve always used the pro models, but do not want usb c in a phone. Something you plug in every day at least with a port that loosens and wears so easily is just a recipe for trouble.

iCamera with a phone bump!

Seriously, I am hoping the periscope lens will let them cut down on the bumpalapooza. I would love a single lens with 10x optical even if meant giving up wide angle, and have it flush, even if the phone was thicker (you can never have too much battery). I mean, what's the point of making a "thin phone" when a quarter of it is protruding out awkwardly?

Sorry but the camera bump is out of control. It’s very prominent on my 14 pro, I can’t imagine it being any bigger than it is without looking even more absurd. If they can’t work out the periscope they should just stick with the current camera configuration for the 15.
It’s not just that it looks weird, it’s starting to impact use. iphones are becoming noticeably top heavy (had a XS, 12pro, now 13 pro and played with the 14’s). It makes holding it with one hand in portrait any length of time more of a chore, just gets annoying and feels like it will fall. Then is everyone’s favorite rocking when set on a flat surface
