Death to Apple, and now I mean it. And Gruber - who the hell are you? Talk about that you fell far down on my list. Accurate before, but now you are missed altogether.

Now I spend my 4200 USD on a PC with a screen instead - and talk about that you get a great performance of 4200 USD on the Pc-market.

HAHA.

To hell with Jobs. To hell with Apple.

edit; Each company, in addition to Apple, would be extremely happy if they could launch new things and get as many buyers at once. What the hell dealing with Apple? Are Mac people completely stupid to buy older computer for sugar prices? It almost seems so.

I still thnk Apple may show something today, provided they suddenly shut down the online Apple Store at 0600 hours Pacific Daylight Time today. If not, then Apple may not release new products until next week at earliest.

Of course, there's always the chance Apple may delay the announcement to tomorrow or even Thursday, but that's a very un-Apple like thing to do.

I remember reading that its "multi touch" was so far only two finger gestures, am I remembering wrong?

You remember correctly; for two fingers ONLY. Doesn't adhere to the 3 and 4 finger multitouch options, therefore it is in no-way superior product to what apple would offer, if they came out with a 'true' multitouch device.

I tried the Bamboo Touch for a week then returned it. Wacom did not create a 'killer' device... not even close. It's touchy (pardon the pun) at best when compared to how smooth and accurate a MB touch pad is.

Been without a computer for 2 weeks, waiting for new iMacs, so I have missed two Curb Your Enthusiasm's in a row. But, your avatar made me LOL for some reason. I miss Larry!

2 weeks without a Mac? Are your hands shaking? Vision blurred? Cramps? Feel like your blood is boiling in your veins?

As there is lots to update.. maybe they need more hands on-deck. So they will wait for normal operating hours at Cupertino, rather than getting people to come in early..?

Everytime there's an annoncement it's at 6pm in Ireland and right now it's 12:46pm, so plenty of time!

Excluding keynote events, they are usually 1:30pm GMT, though a few small updates have slipped into the US store overnight this year.

I sure about the time because they always come out just after my lunch break has finished. :)

Complain about the failure to deliver gee-whizz hardware specs if you want to, but Apple is a marketer, and this means the product they are selling is an integrated experience.

The company will conquor China in the next 2 years. That's why I'm sitting tight with my 300 shares, thank you. I can only hope for a 4-1 or 5-1 stock split, which would make the company more psychologically accessible to people with chump change.

I can see a refreshed mini being released without a media event, but I would have to believe Apple would hold an event if there was a significant redesign of the iMac. In any case, I'm hoping for a release of a new Mini today!:D

How about you bugger off then you annoying tit.

My guesses:

MacBooks: Spec bump, slightly redesigned enclosure and cheaper price.
iMacs: Thinner iMacs with a slight spec bump. No quad core till next year.
Mac Mini: Spec bump to 2.66 GHz for the high end, make the low end 2.26 GHz and reduce both prices by $100.
"Magic Mouse": I'm guessing they are going to do away with the trackball and possibly add some sort of trackpad in it's place but still have the ergonomics of the Mighty Mouse. Essentially just a Mighty Mouse with a trackpad instead of a scroll ball.
"trackpad gadget": New keyboard? I honestly have no idea what this could be.

That's only when there is an announcement or keynote to accompany the release.

Updates that have no fanfare are released in the early hours of the morning and the store is usually back up by 8 am EST. it doesnt matter what time it is in cupertino for these types of updates, they just want the store active for east coast users as the business day begins.

13:30 ish? Good to know. I'm more worried that it will only be a small iMac update than the actual release date
