Back and I tried it out!
First of it is very comfortable fabric, much better then the clip on running belt I have now! It is pretty easy to put on as well, you put it on like shorts since it is once piece of fabric.. Now onto the good stuff.. Luckily an employee had a note 3 I used as well as the cut out of the 5.5. The note 3 fit fine! It goes in easy and fits in snug with no bounce! The 5.5 plus cut out fits as well, obviously it does not have the depth of the real thing but it is as close as it gets. Over all I would give it a 5/5 and I ordered one on amazon as they only had hot pink in stock haha.

Oh and there is still a lot of space for keys and other stuff!

----------

Its very stretchy fabric. It will fit fine. I tested with a note 3 and it is perfect for it.

great review!!! thank you very much.

Ok, so this thread makes a lot of sense, but I am slightly confused about something that appears on Apple's website.

If you go to this link http://www.apple.com/watch/features/ and scroll down to a "whole new era for apps" you can see that under the music section the description says:

"Control the music on your iPhone without taking it out of your pocket. And when you leave iPhone at home to go for a jog, listen to music directly on Apple Watch."

So after reading this I was like "Ok, I'm gonna get 6+ and not take it with me when I run and use Watch as an iPod" but after reading this thread I am not sure how the hell am I supposed to listen to music on the Watch if it doesn't even have a headphone jack? Can it pair with bluetooth headphones? Or maybe Apple is going to release bluetooth Beats just for the Watch?

It would make sense to me to run with just the Watch itself (emergency calls aside).

I'm confused.

That sure is confusing! It makes it seem that the watch will have some sort of long range communication.

It does have Bluetooth i see that listed under the settings screen.. It also has a airplane mode.. I bet they are building either GPS or something into the watch to communicate with the iphone across a distance.

I used to have a Note 3 and ran with it all the time. It doesn't bother me to hold my phone in my hand as I run, so I had no issues.

Females run with huge things all the time and they manage fine:D
That's sexist. I run with a huge thing all the time.

I assumed the watches will have some music/file storage. :apple: being :apple: it'll probably be a small amount like 2-4 gigs on the low end watches.

Or do you think the watches will have carrier network coverage? That way they have GPS and reach the cloud? Just a thought.

More importantly how do you use headphones on the watch and run with it? Bluetooth?

The future is expensive.

That flip belt looks awesome. Probably going to have to get two of them one for me one for the wife. Much better solution than using an arm band for a 5.5" phone.

Now I just need to find some good bluetooth headphones.

I use this SpiBelt with my current 5s, it works great with no bounce at all. Very secure.

I run 30-35 miles a week and I can't stand belts. I usually run with no music, but if I do my iPhone is usually in a arm band. I ordered a iPhone 6+ and there's no way I'm strapping that to my arm, also I'd like to keep my warranty intact since the water sensors have already been triggered on my 5 from sweat.

I'm picking up a iPod Shuffle today at lunch, I'll run with that. All the trails around here have emergency call boxes and there's always plenty of people, I also usually run with someone. I never liked running with my phone, this just enforces that I wont run with it.

Maybe someone will come up with a solution that isn't a belt, or I'll jut continue to leave my phone in the glove box when I run :)

I am going to try it tonight for the first time. I will report back! I have a friend who swears by it.

I use a normal running belt right now and it gets annoying.. I run 60+ miles a week.

It is on amazon as well to order online and has good reviews as well..

Per a reviewer..

"Works very well for holding my Galaxy Note. before this i was having to wear an uncomfortable arm-strap when I ran with my phone. Now i have bluetooth headphones (LG) and I can store my phone in the flip belt along with my keys. I also like not advertising my huge phone while i am running. Seems to be made well and washes well so far. Will probably get another one in a different color."

"I used this on a marathon run and it worked really well. I just have one teency weency issue with it. I have a Note 3 cell phone and it does not slide in and out with ease. I have to stretch one of the holes open really wide and shove my phone in it. I know that it is partially due to the size of my phone but it could be easier with other phones."
SOLD! I work out everyday.

So do gay males. It's too bad straight males don't run with HUGE things.:eek::D

Just a follow up.. I ran three runs now with the flip belt. 7mi, 10, mi and a 17mi. It is by far the most comfortable belt I have ever used.

Thanks for keeping us updated! I'm a distance trail runner and on trails I use a Nathan Intensity (70oz) running vest -- and keep my S3 in the right pocket. I think the 6 Plus will do fine in the same spot.

When running less than 6 or 7 miles, I use a Fitletic fitness belt (http://www.amazon.com/Fitletic-Ulti...=UTF8&qid=1410804727&sr=8-5&keywords=fitletic) but I have to take the S3 out of the case to squeeze it in there, so I know the 6 Plus won't fit.

Looks like I'll be picking up a FlipBelt as well. I appreciate the review.

I understand it might not be ideal for OP, but nothing beats a nano for running.

I've been running daily since May 2011 and have never encountered a situation where I had to make an "emergency call".

Everything beats a nano for running for me.

I don't listen to music while running. I have my phone with me to track GPS data as well as to make an emergency phone call if I need and, just as importantly, to take photos along my routes. I run almost exclusively along mountain trails and the sights I see are amazing -- hence the no music (I like to be able to hear what's going on around, be with my thoughts, etc) and the camera.

I had to make an emergency call once about five years ago when I rolled my ankle, bad. Really bad. I had to fashion a makeshift crutch out of a conveniently shaped branch (using a pair of closely grown together young trees as a lever to snap the branch) and hobble my way a couple of miles until I got to a point where there was signal, but boy was I glad I had a way to get ahold of people out in civilization.

On a run, a nano is about as useful to me as a socket wrench.

Good to hear. I ordered a flipbelt over the weekend and should get it by Wednesday.

Looks like it's the modern version of the fanny pack for you.

I've been using a Fitletic belt for years now, and it works great. I originally got it for my 4 or 4S. The 5 and 5S still fit in it with a bit of a squeeze, but I know there's not a chance the 6 will fit in it, let alone the 6+, hence my recent ordering of a Flipbelt. :)

(Which I'll be able to test out during a half marathon this sunday)

Here are three options.

Option 1:

I currently use something like Option 3 for my iP5 now when I run 4-5 days a week. I have also used an Otterbox case/holster in the past when running full and half marathons with my iP4.

I already have Option 3 on order for my iP6+ along with this...

You know something's wrong if you're trying to find ways to strap a bulky piece of glass and metal to your body when you go for a run.

Leave your phone at home and get a Timex/Suunto/Garmin watch.

I also have a garmin watch. Useless for taking pics of the magnificent scenery or making that important call for help (see my post above).

I track my gps data with both the watch and my phone.
