Back and I tried it out!
First of it is very comfortable fabric, much better then the clip on running belt I have now! It is pretty easy to put on as well, you put it on like shorts since it is once piece of fabric.. Now onto the good stuff.. Luckily an employee had a note 3 I used as well as the cut out of the 5.5. The note 3 fit fine! It goes in easy and fits in snug with no bounce! The 5.5 plus cut out fits as well, obviously it does not have the depth of the real thing but it is as close as it gets. Over all I would give it a 5/5 and I ordered one on amazon as they only had hot pink in stock haha.

Oh and there is still a lot of space for keys and other stuff!

Its very stretchy fabric. It will fit fine. I tested with a note 3 and it is perfect for it.

Thanks for the review. Not getting a 6 or 6 plus yet but working out/running was deterring me from the Plus line. I may reconsider it and get one of these.

I also have a garmin watch. Useless for taking pics of the magnificent scenery or making that important call for help (see my post above).

I track my gps data with both the watch and my phone.

Aye, that's what most people go for runs to do.

Take pictures of 'magnificent scenery'.

When I go hiking and want to take pictures of the scenery (every other weekend), I take my AW120, which is bombproof. Apple's phone isn't even waterproof. Sad. Rains here a lot, especially higher up the mountains, even in summer. Maybe you live somewhere sunny so you can use your new fancy OIS or whatever it is. I'll never even get to try that out.

I go for long mountain trail runs many times a week because I love running, I like to stay fit, and nothing beats mountain trails for that. I'm within striking distance of the continental divide (my longer runs will take me up and over). Most of my runs start in the 8,000 to 10,000 foot elevation and often climb from there.

I don't run to take pictures of magnificent scenery. I run in magnificent scenery and often like to take pics of it while I'm there. I have a GoPro which I'll take occasionally if I don't mind carrying a camera in my hand for large parts of the run, but the majority of the time an iPhone in a fitness belt (along with a ziplock baggy in case of rain) is more than sufficient and a whole lot more convenient to have with me.

You know they make these to help solve that waterproof issue.

I'm not a distance runner. I do run around with my Note 2 on my hand for about 4-5 miles on street. No straps. The pretty Apple iPhone is staying in my house while I run with the "I don't give a crap" phone for jogs. But seriously, I just hold it on my hand with a wired headset.

Please don't.

That thing's tragic.

You paint a majestic picture of this awesome outdoorsy life you have there.

What's this got to do with needing an iPhone?

This alone makes me want the apple watch... I'm already stressing about running with my new iphone 6, and it's not even the plus

I would like to know if that is even possible though. The watch uses the GPS and Wifi from your iPhone, so if you don't have an iPhone on you can it still know your distance? I would hope so, similar to the way the M8 Coprocessor works.

It was an example. Point being is that there are options for people out there. What doesn't meet your needs may fit someone elses. Or as someone else mentioned a ziploc works just as well to keep it nice and dry in a pocket. Not sure how many people are going to be pulling out their camera in a torrential downpour to take picture so a $0.12 ziploc should do just fine for the daily runner and the occational rain.

In my part of the world. Rather regularly.

Samsung can make waterproof phones, why can't Apple.

Sorry if I missed it, but how far is your run? I'm more of a distance runner and usually toss in the phone into my Salomon S-Labs hydration pack (excellent pack, by the way). Enough room for the phone, keys, cash and food (and a light jacket). For shorter runs, I take my Nathan water bottle with pockets for the phone. Problem with the 6+ I have on order is that it will probably not fit. I'm sure someone will come out with a larger pocket version, though.

You may also consider cycling jerseys with pockets in the back. You may have to wrap the phone in a small towel or shirt to keep it from bouncing around (or out).

I've tried way too many belts and none have worked out. The problem with all of them is they keep slipping either up or down.

Thanks for keeping us updated! I'm a distance trail runner and on trails I use a Nathan Intensity (70oz) running vest -- and keep my S3 in the right pocket. I think the 6 Plus will do fine in the same spot.

When running less than 6 or 7 miles, I use a Fitletic fitness belt (http://www.amazon.com/Fitletic-Ulti...=UTF8&qid=1410804727&sr=8-5&keywords=fitletic) but I have to take the S3 out of the case to squeeze it in there, so I know the 6 Plus won't fit.

Looks like I'll be picking up a FlipBelt as well. I appreciate the review.

Funny you mention the Nathan Intensity as I just ordered the HPL 020 last week! Love running with that thing and at least in the HPL the plus should fit in the front right pocket.

My trainer runs with a Galaxy Note. Why does anybody care how it looks? Makes you wonder why you're running at all if others' opinions are so important.

I am an avid runner (5 -7 miles a day) and use a Garmin watch (GPS) which is very light weight with a really well designed application that keeps track of your distance, elevation, time, and laps. I listen to my music on the Ipad Nano (very light weight). For some reason, I don't feel comfortable wearing an Iphone strapped to my arm (radiation concerns).

They probably can but if you let that one thing stop you from making a purchase when you have options.... Well...whatever. More iPhones for the rest of us.

The thread is 'Running with a huge phone...'. The OP wanted to know if there were not-so-cumbersome ways of running with a 6+. Various people are sharing their solutions, as I was sharing mine. I was also pointing out from previous comments why something like a Nano wouldn't do the job (I don't listen to music while running, like the extra GPS data, like to take pics/vids, etc).

Clearly, no one needs an iPhone with them on a run. But there are plenty of legitimate reasons why some people want an iPhone (or something similar) with them when they run. I listed some of mine.

For me it's all about comfort running with anything strapped to my arm is annoying to me, but running with a phablet on my arm would be so distracting I wouldn't be able to exercise.

My point was that the premise was the problem, which makes justifications for solutions irrel.

Nothing better than running light and running free. There was a guy earlier in another thread was planning on taking his iPhone, Garmin GPS watch on right arm and AppleWatch when it came out on his left arm.

He actually had reasons for doing so.

I die a little when I read stuff like that.

Sure people have different wants and ideas, but I have mine too. Just voicing them.

Not everyone has your wants and ideas, though. The premise isn't the problem for the OP or for me. It might be for you, and that's fine. If you don't want to run with anything, more power to you. If you want to run with a variety of implements with you, more power to you. Hopping into a thread like this and telling people they're doing their enjoyable activity wrong because it's not the way you prefer to do it isn't constructive, though.

And you shouldn't take it personally when other people enjoy having stuff with them when they run (eg. dying a little on the inside). :) We all have our own ways of doing things, and that's beautiful.

Females run with huge things all the time and they manage fine:D

So what we need is a phone bra. Phra?

That sure is confusing! It makes it seem that the watch will have some sort of long range communication.

It does have Bluetooth i see that listed under the settings screen.. It also has a airplane mode.. I bet they are building either GPS or something into the watch to communicate with the iphone across a distance.

Pretty sure they said 8GB in the keynote. That's plenty of storage for music for running.
