Took my iPhone 6 out for its first run today. Squeezed it into a iPhone 5 Bose Armband, and it worked fine.

Looking into the belt though, those seem to be really popular among the people posting here and I had never even heard of them before.

No noticeable difference between running with my 5, and running with the 6. I can image that wouldn't be true with the 6 Plus!

Flip belt is perfect with the plus. Fits just fine :)

Glad to hear it. Thanks for the info. I almost didn't get the plus because I was concerned that running with it would be a problem. I use the Flipbelt with my iPhone 5 and it works great.

Another vote for the FlipBelt. Works perfectly with the iPhone 6 Plus -- yay for stretchy material! I run with it snugly across my hips, no riding up (or down haha) and no floppiness.

The one wish I had for this iPhone model would be waterproofing. I'll need to be careful with my "dump water on my head and arms and back" routine when I run during the AZ summers.

For those of you running with the Flipbelt- do you not keep up with your running statistics while running? (pace, distance, etc).

I am considering Flipbelt, but I use runkeeper and like to keep up with and occasionally look at my phone to see my stats.

Don't see how you can do that with Flipbelt, or even easily start and stop timing via Runkeeper.....

Anyone using Flipbelt AND doing this??

Agreed on the waterproof bit. Was very humid here in NY Sunday and I solved the issue with a ziplock.. primitive but works.

If you run a a lot you should investor in even a cheap running watch.. Just works better and easier to have on your wrist..

But obviously everyone to each their own.

So with that it can be a pain to take the phone out to look at stat's. Does run keeper have audio cue's where it tells you how far you have gone and your pace?

As for start and stop I would use the Auto pause feature.

That's one disadvantage of the Flipbelt. I generally don't look at my stats when running so for me the Flipbelt is ideal but it's something to consider if this is important to you.

Here's a possible solution I posted on a similar thread last night.

I run much more often 25 miles a week now and I have Jaybird Bluebuds X bluetooth headphones (that I love) and an armband for my iPhone 5 currently. The issue I see is with a phone as big as the iPhone 6 plus it would be uncomfortable on my arm. The solution I may have found after research is the magnetic pouch called a Running Buddy in this link meant for running with Galaxy Notes. It's a magnetic puch that clips to your waistband and holds the phone. The note Running Buddy is 6.25" long and 4" tall and the iPhone 6 Plus is 6.22" by 3.06" so it should fit. My idea is to put this running buddy on the back of my waistband of my running shorts and then use the Bluebuds (and eventually an AppleWatch) while running. Hopefully this gave you a possible solution to your conundrum!

Do you notice any bouncing around with the magnetic clasping system and how strong are the magnets? Any concerns of it falling off and you not knowing?

...Until you get into a situation where you need to make an emergency phone call.

This comment made me laugh. Have you ever wondered what runners might have done before mobile phones were practical to take running or before they existed? A phone isn't an essential piece of running kit in my eyes. I think most people who run seriously would try and take as little weight and items with them as possible. The iPod nano is the perfect running device.

In relation to OP running to work, you'll just have to try some of the things suggested already and hope you find one of them comfortable enough for you. I think running with the 6 Plus is going to be difficult.

Just a follow up.. I ran three runs now with the flip belt. 7mi, 10, mi and a 17mi. It is by far the most comfortable belt I have ever used.

Is the phone in a waterproof section of the belt? If not will it be sweaty and wet after a run?

Great! I use a FlipBelt anyway for my runs.

I'm not sold on a belt but if I get an IP6+, maybe I have too.

The arm pocket I use now for my 5c works well but I find it can slip from time to time, unless I have it really tight. With a larger phone, it may be too large and not work too well.

Another FlipBelt fan here! I've had mine for over a year and it has always worked very well for me and my iPhone 5S. I only wear it when I wear my running shorts, though, which don't have a big enough zip pocket for a phone. I usually stuff my FlipBelt with my phone, house/car key, and a couple of Stinger Waffles folded in half (for long runs).

My favorite running crops and pants (I'm a female) have side slip pockets in the legs, so I always just slide my phone right down in there with no issues. Most should work just fine with my 6+ (haven't tried them all yet, but most are fairly deep).

I can't recommend the FlipBelt enough, though. When the iPhone 6+ was announced, running with it was the least of my worries, because I knew I would just throw it in my FlipBelt.

Just ran with my 6 today and what a slippery beast! Gonna have to get a Flipbelt though I am one of those that likes to glance at my Pace and Distance in Runkeeper.

I bought the flip belt based on this thread and I love it! The regular 6 fits no problem.

I second getting a watch if you can. I caught a Nike GPS watch on sale last year. I only use my phone as a way to keep in touch with folks while I'm out on my runs or during my races. I wear a Bluetooth headset, so if I need to make a call, I can. I've been using a iPod Nano for music, but I might see how much battery I have during runs so I can have one less device on me.

I run with a Garmin Forerunner 910xt watch and Mio Link (heart rate monitor), so my stats are on my arm. I just use the iPhone for music or photos (if I see a coyote or snake or something fun on the trail), or emergency calls. I have been enjoying the Healthbook stats though -- even without tracking anything, it's catching my run mileage fairly accurately (if anything, a bit generous on distance).

Ok, now I feel silly asking... there's a waterproof section of the belt?! Where? I just put mine in a pocket and "flipped it" this morning, but when I took it off after my 4 mile run, I noticed the screen was a tad sweat-marked... which makes me think I'll be ziplocking it in the future.

I use a Garmin 610 (upgrading to the 620 soon) for my running stats. I never use my phone for running stats.

If you are looking for a cheaper option, the Garmin 220 is fantastic too.

I use my Pebble for both keeping track of stats and start/pause of RK. Once the Apple Watch comes out, it'll serve the same purpose.

I never sold my Iphone 4 for that specific reason. It's perfect for running and listening to music. 6+ is for daily business needs.
