Heres to really hoping Ceramic comes back for Series 7.

What happened before the S5, regarding leaks, if I remember, didn’t someone leak Ceramic in the Watch OS software around the time of August? So hopefully we might have a snapshot a bit before September if Ceramic is coming back

Hey y’all! My name’s Will. I’m from South Carolina and new here, but have followed MacRumors and the forum for years. I decided to finally post because I have a Ceramic Series 5 44mm and was wanting to trade it in on one of those sites like Decluttr or what not, but many of them don’t accept the Ceramic Series 5. I did find IGotOffer to give me an estimated value for $350, which seems extremely low.

The watch is in perfect condition. The ceramic watch band has some wear to it and marks on it. However, it came with the (I think) pine green sport band? It’s whatever color green they released in the fall of 2019 as a sport band because I was trying to match it with the iPhone 11 Pro Max Midnight Green.

The Apple Care is good until September 27 of this year, which I don’t think is much of a selling feature, but it is still under warranty nevertheless.

I saw that Apple would take up to $185 and that really sounds like throwing it away.

Should I try to sell on eBay? I saw one for $1,700 and it’s open box. I don’t see anyone buying that. Too expensive. More than what it originally cost. I guess I could sell on eBay, but I just hate having to go through all of that trouble and then what if it doesn’t sell?

Any recommendations on where to trade or sell the watch? If I sell it, what’s a good price to ask for?

I bought mine a few months ago for $700 from a seller on OfferUp, and I was very pleased with that price...it included the original white band with the ceramic pin, charger, and all packaging. I've seen them sell on eBay recently for anything from $900 - $1200 depending on condition, and what packaging and accessories are included. Apple Care still being active is most certainly a selling point. Don't get rid of it for less than it's worth - there are people looking for them, and willing to pay a fair price.

I paid $500 for my S5 ceramic. It came with the original white ceramic pin band plus
2 other additional bands. The battery health was still at 100%.

eBay is your best bet. I've seen S5 ceramics selling there in-between $700-1200 lately (and active AppleCare is definitely a selling point). Just list your item with a best offer option and you'll no doubt see offers appearing within the week.

Hello there

My band is loosing its colours, as I’m wearing the watch all the time. Anythings you would recommend to recover the colours? Vinegar?View attachment 1829972View attachment 1829973
You should head over to the thread "Every Apple Watch Band Apple released. Ever." There are quite a few advices there on how to clean bands.
I certainly would NOT try vinegar. Perhaps wash it in warm soapy water and rub with a soap called "Dawn" (if you're in the US), apparently it brings stains off.

Another advice to spare a little bit your white ceramic band which is difficult to replace - get yourself a couple other bands. Aforementioned thread will give you some ideas 😉

It’s true, the White Sports Strap with White Ceramic Pin is expensive to replace. Currently about £140 on eBay. Compared to a standard Sports Strap in white which you can cop for around £20.

I never found any solution to the discoloration of the bands and tried contacting Apple support for replacement bands which they turned down. For the price of the watch and it having been under Apple Care at the time, I would have thought they would have given replacement bands. It doesn’t take much to cause discoloration.

Hello! Anyone with an Apple Watch Edition Series 5 44mm Model A2157 (European version) wanting to swap with my Model A2095 (North American version)?

Had I known we would get at least 2 generations with no Ceramic I wouldn’t have sold my S5 but still occasionally rocking the S3. Best Buy online has both S3 Ceramic models for sale at full price, can’t believe they haven’t discounted yet. Here’s my S3 White Ceramic vs my S7 Graphite.

Love it - OG Green on white ceramic is one of my favorite combos!

From that shot, your S3 White Ceramic is definitely holding its own.

I’ve still got my S3 Ceramic in grey. But I haven’t fired it up in a long time. I should update it to the latest watchOS.
