So cheap and so lame. Urgh.

Glad I don’t use Samsung because this is just embarrassing.

Samsung ads are like the stories losers tell their online echo chambers that inevitably end, “and then everyone stood up and clapped”

WOW!!! so much hate to a company who employ so many people and create work and a livelihood for even more!! I simply must assume you must have created so much more and much better things in your life since you can come with a so well thought through comment towards one of the worlds most successful companies. Because I cannot imagine you are just another loser troll sharing faded ambitions there encountered the reality of being not more than a no-name person trying to get attention.

So when Apple makes jokes at Microsoft, regardless quite a few of them was pretty lame, then it is hysterically funny and classy. However, when somebody make a joke at Apple then it is pathetic....

Fun thing is the Apple fanboys hates Samsung, although there is a very good chance that the Apple products they use are made with Samsung components.... As to Apple they do not care who makes the components as long as they meet specs and is the best possible buy, there is an ongoing bidding on components and parts, it is all about making money. Apple would produce in North Korea if they could, but they cannot just yet, as it is all about low cost.

I am surprised they are allowed to use the Apple logo.

It's not trademark infringement to use a competitor's mark for identification purposes where it does not cause confusion in the marketplace. In other words, you're free to call your competitors by name when making marketing comparisons.

These ads remind me of the Intel Pentium 4 versus AMD Athlon XP wars.

Throughput wise, Pentium won because of gigahertz advantage. (that is like Samsung saying they feature higher download speeds)

But usage wise, AMD won on lower gigahertz even, because their architecture was more efficient and got a lot of general work done faster.

I can literally name 10 apps that have a larger size that 150mb....smh check your “facts” buddy

I suspect what he was referring to was the dialog boxes you get when you try to download large apps or updates from the store when not connected to WiFi.

She should've called it the "EX" ... would've more properly suited the typical android user.

WOW!!! so much hate

Nah, not really. I don’t even think about Samsung until MR posts yet another article about them. Their latest ad, their latest phone but, curiously, not their failing flagship phone business. https://www.tomsguide.com/us/samsung-galaxy-s9-sales,news-27102.html. When was the last time you saw a thousand “Apple Fanboys” on an Android forum? Doesn’t happen does it. Curiously enough, every ten minutes on MacRumors someone writes a large 3 paragraph screed about iSheep.

Btw there’s very little in iPhones made by Samsung now, save for the OLED display in the X. Even those will go to LG this year.

That is the difference in marketing strategies between the 2 companies.

Apple is always trying to be better than Apple, they always compare their stuff with their previews stuff.

Samsung is always trying to be better than Apple...

maybe they should watch a bit of Simon Sinek and learn a bit about business way of thinking:

To be honest i'm pretty happy with my LTE speed tests on my iPhone X

Hahah. Says the company that makes bombs. I guess with eyes that tiny you do need a phone that’s as big as a tablet.

still iphone 8(not even X) beats samsung in sales..pity. Every phone have its own perks. Samsung should understand that. Truth be told, Apple is not the competitor for samsung, Google Pixel/OnePlus/Oppo are...

Exactly right. Samsung really ought to worry more about the competition from the bottom. They’re much more likely to be eaten by that, where most of their sales are.

so dumb

it is extremely rare to hit maximum theoretical download speeds.

just as much as apple preys on the non-tech crowd with their slick marketing naming conventions, samsung does the same with their 'tech crowd' by trying to whip up support through trivial benchmarks such as these
The study is based on average real world speeds, not theoretical specs.

Do you think this might be a bit of lazy, cliched troll? I ask because I’m really working on my ignore list today.
You better get on with it then.

Nothing trollecious. If I am paying 1.5x the Samsung cost, it is reasonable to expect best connectivity. The hardware is already there. Just need software support to enable 3CA. I even contacted my Carrier and escalated it. But they said that they have already tried everything and were at mercy of Apple to push Carrier updates.

You simply cannot accept any Apple criticism.

Lol. if the cell tower share .. it will rarely get 40 mbps lte.For me, i only can get 25 mbps max for 4G and 11 mbps for 3G H+ (note small call it as 4G )

In fact you are comming across as a die hard fanboy with all your comments. You simply cannot accept any Apple criticism.

Even if you were right, which you’re clearly not, since all i said was that was yet another cliched post about Mac users in coffee shops, that was tired and unhelpful you still violated the codified rules.

You can't call a bigot a bigot, a troll a troll, or a fanboy a fanboy, any more than you can call an idiot an idiot. You can disagree with the content of another member's statement or give your evidence or opinion to dispute their claims, but you may not make a negative personal characterization about that member.

I won’t see your response either way.

Tiresome, so very tiresome.

Note sure who deserves more contempt, the incumbent ad agency "creatives" or the Samsung marketeers who approved this pathetic (and counter-productive in tone) spot.

This right here is your problem. You cannot argue with reasons. My original post was about 3CA explaining why LTE speeds were always lower on iPhones. But you as usual have taken the topic on a totally different tangent. This is not the first time you are doing this. I feel that you should be called out for your passive aggressive posts on MacRumors. If it’s against the rules, I am editing my post and sincere apologies.

HOW ON EARTH CAN SAMSUNG SHOW THE APPLE LOGO IN AN AD WITHOUT APPLES PERMISSION?

Isnt the Apple logo Copyrighted to the moon and back. Just mentioning the brand - needs Apples consent?

if I see one more Samsung ad, I'm gonna find their marketing director. Honestly their comparing unrealistic things that don't matter at all. Which makes no sense. First your comparing an iPhone 6 with a S9 and now this? like honestly this is some joke Samsung is playing, look around the people in the mall more people have iPhones. lets be honest. it all comes down to preference. the iPhone is just simple, apple doesn't start mocking the competitors as much as Samsung, goes to show how poor Samsung's sales are
