S pen support a sign the note is about to die and great for die hard note fans.

I doubt it. They're just enabling pen input on more devices since more and more astute consumers demand pen and touch input across more devices. Note series will likely retain pen silo capability which the S21 Ultra seems to lack.

Samsung removes the charger and reduces prices $200 off across the S21 line and also reduce the price of a charger if you need one if you don't have a spare USB-C charger that they've been shipping since 2017 Galaxy S8. In comparison, Apple removed the charger and did none of those so purely profit motivated.
I don't think Samsung is doing that out of the goodness of their hearts. They see competition from both Apple and other premium Android phone makers and thus need to price accordingly. You can argue Apple doesn't need to do this unless sales flag.

now if you want top of the line spec from samsung you need to pay over 1000.....4-5 years ago...they kept the same price over the previous model
you want 5g on your iphone? same price as before...you want promotion, same price it will be
Apple knows its financial strategy ...macs with M1 become the most bang for the buck in the industry...now its seems the iphone 13 will become the same
damn, quick on the defense lol. Don't worry, Samsung existing shouldn't affect your iPhone experience.

when Apple makes cuts to lower prices, they try to do it in a way where it’s barely noticeable. Think of the iPhone XR, other than a couple compromises, experience wise it was basically the same phone as the XS.
When Samsung attempts to cut costs, they make it extremely, extremely noticeable.

I know it’s funny to see things like this happen. But why does Twitter even show this info? Why is it important for them to share that the tweet was sent from an iPhone or Android etc?

The only even semi-good explanation I can come up with is that if there are typos in a tweet, people may be more forgiving knowing it came from a touch keyboard on a phone, but then the could just put "Twitter on Mobile"

I imagine it also has something to do with emoji, given that different operating systems render them differently.

Wasn't there a big thing about Apple changing their pistol emoji to a squirt gun? With emoji that vary extremely, it might help to clue users in to what posters originally meant.

S21 Ultra is sexy and the colors would go well with my Surface Pro X SQ2.
Back looks UGGLLY

Hmm... where is the Galaxy S21 Mini? I was sure Samsung was going to copy Apple and release a mini version of their flagship as well! Oh my bad, they copied Apple by removing the charging brick instead, I suppose there is only so much copying you can do at one event. Kudos Samsung

Well I just watched the "Apple Show" on CNET starring the very boring and non-innovative Galaxy S21(+). Then I had to be burdened with a presentation showing this nonsense called "Phantom Black". LMAO. Samsung copied more this time (including Apple's presentation) than they ever have. Bad enough is the ugly camera design that looks like traffic lights and the very protruding bezel. Yuk!

In 6 months, I could get S21 with 30-40% off. Products of imitation game lose their value, especially when their ecosystem is an inseparable mix of Android & Samsung.

I could not be less interested, but Samsung is always the fun one to watch.

Guess you CONVENIENTLY forgot that Samsung also removed the SD card slot huh? Now you know why the price went down. They stripped their products. 🙄

The $200 is to help compensate Samsung buyers for getting the processor speed of a 2 year old iPhone and only a third of the length of time receiving system and security updates.

Because people make a huge deal over small things that Apple does, and they won't stop crapping on Apple about it for months. I never understand why it's okay for Apple to be made fun of here but when another company gets made fun then some people get defensive for that poor company. SMH.

Apparently their tiles have replaceable batteries. I suspect Apple's won't have that. Makes you wonder how waterproof they'll be though.

Samsung also downgraded to 1080P displays on the non-ultra phones, less ram, made the S21 with a plastic back, and removed expandable storage on the entire lineup. So reducing the pricing makes sense since it‘s more of a side-grade than an upgrade.
