I'm disappointed. I was holding out on replacing my S3 until the S6 arrived, but now I'm not sure I want the S6. Sure, it's a great "looking" phone, but now it's missing all of the features that I really liked in the S3. SD card, removable battery, etc.
Those two features alone keep me from ever considering an Apple device, and pretty much have me convinced that I don't want the S6 either.
The SD card is important for a variety of reasons.
First and foremost, with an SD card, I don't have to spring for the extra cost of the 64 and 128gb phones when I buy. $100-200 extra for that storage is unreasonable when I can get a 64gb SD card for something like $30 or $45.
Second, when I change phones, I want to move my storage from one to the next without having to hook to a computer, rely on data usage to pull down from cloud storage, or wait for 20 mins while things copy.
Third, if something happens to my phone.... a dunk in the sink, beer spilled on it, screen destroyed, etc, I don't have to do anything fancy to get my data off of it.... I just grab the SD and swap it into the next phone.
I use the replaceable battery on my S3 a lot. They're cheap and easy to swap. I think I have 5 or 6 of them on chargers or in my laptop bag. The only time I ever plug my phone in is when I go to bed at night. Going out of town? Toss batteries in my bag. On a long flight and want to play games/read/watch videos the whole time? Swap batteries in flight. Going to the UK for a long week and don't have an extra adapter? Spare batteries for the win! At $5 per pop on Amazon for my current phone, it's really hard to let go of that feature.
