It was a big advertisement, I thought some elements were funny but the whole premise is, in my opinion, based on too poor of a marketing campaign. Like I said, the commercial itself had some funny parts but if you consider what they're trying to convey, it's not only "over the top" as the commercial even said at the end, but it's just in bad taste in my opinion. I wouldn't really think it to be wise to make fun of the customer base, even if they aren't your own.
And for the record the Mac/PC ads weren't Apple's best ads either, nor were the "well, you don't have an iPhone" ones. Even then those ads weren't really as snide as these but still, Apple's best ads were ones that focused on its own products without having to compare them to others or to focus on other consumer bases. I guess simply comparing the directions of the two companies' marketing says enough about where they stand in terms of mindshare.
