You should know force touch is basically just a new name for pressure-sensitivity capacitive touchscreen right?
Don't be ignorant, they are the ones that introduced this technology to their Note devices first.

Moreover, I went through some comments here and did some research on the Galaxy S Plus, and yes, they did not copy the name. In fact, Apple took the"Plus" name with the iP 6 Plus, the Galaxy S Plus, and Galaxy S2 Plus do exist years before the iPhone 6.

Please pay some respect to others before judging them. Thank you.

Well, as others have written earlier, the tech Samsung 'introduced' (after all pressure sensitive pen inputs existed long before Samsung ever made a touchscreen phone) involved pressure sensitive pen input on their touchscreens. It is not localized in the manner of Apple's tech. This is why Apple has patented Force Touch. It is NOT the same as what Samesung has done. To echo your words, I'd advise you to "don't be ignorant."

Respect is not given, it is earned through actions. Samsung does not deserve my respect, rather their actions continually illustrate their lack of respect for others property, as well as the law.

No. Ironic that you are telling another poster not to be ignorant.

Samsung did not invent 'force touch' or haptic feedback but they did have it on their devices before Apple, not the same implementation but it's the same concept/technology. Apple use it better in their devices but 'force touch and 'taptic feedback' are NOT innovative. People need to do their research before they cry copy cat.

Amazing Hard ware, Software looks fantastic as well.

However I will NEVER EVER buy another android phone other than from google, Simply because it takes too long to get the latest software and features from google.

I had the note 4, it didnt get the latest software for almost a year! not good enough and even then it didn't get a lot of the features!.

I love how Samsung's unique selling points were a SD card slot, water/dustproof chassis and a removable battery, so they removed all of them. At seeing low sales for S6, they quickly released new models, which also don't have those features. I'm sure it's going to work really well!

Exactly.

Apple never offered those things therefore nobody misses them (those coming from android and that are not content with Apples proffering's want them, obviously).

Do Samsung still have lower end handsets with these features. Not that this would be of any comfort to the top end market consumers that have essentially lost most of what they used to brag about.

Gotta love innovation.....

The Koreans have done it again. Bravo. These phones are just luscious as they are powerful. 4 GB RAM? 16 megapixel camera. Samsung Pay. Gosh. The kind of innovation coming out of this company astounding. Samsung is completely dominating the technology field. I look at my iPhone and sigh with embarrassment. I mean, fine, Apple did create the modern smartphone but Samsung is showing how it's properly done, just like Apple showed Xerox how to really make use of GUI and mice.

Having really hard time trying to figure out if you being sarcastic or serious.

Well, as an owner/user of my iphone 6plus and Note 4 I just have to say thank you to both Apple and Samsung. You both have saved me a lot of money this upcoming year. I do not and will not feel compelled to buy either of your new devices this year as neither the iPhone 6s or Note 5 are great advances at all. I can wait another entire year before I will have to feel compelled to upgrade at all. Cell phone advancement has finally stagnated to where I no longer "have to buy" each year to keep up. Thank you Samsung and Apple.

I have not seen a magnetic card being used for 15 odd years. Seems useless to me.

Yep, the chip failed on my card earlier this year, so the machine reverted to 'swipe and sign' after 3 failed attempts. Both me and the guy in the shop commented that we hadn't done it that way for years.

Are you in the US? Most transactions here are still with swipe of the magnetic strip. But that will change supposedly in a few months as it will be required. Retailers are going nuts about it though cause many are not ready.

You may not have seen one used but nearly every chip and pin machine still has a magnetic card reader so it opens Samsung Pay up to using nearly every card reader out there. Thats how I read it anyway.

I don't know what everyone's crabbing about. If the iPhone didn't exist, most of us would have one of these.

I love my iPhone 6+ but getting a Galaxy Note 5 next. As a web dev really disappointed at WDC when they had 100 sessions of proprietary programming and only 2 sessions for web programming. Also tired of Apple limiting iOS to only support Safari's engine. Also sick of the Apple's wall of icons UI -- so outdated. Apple's build quality is still excellent though.

I feel the same way. I still don't understand why apple won't allow us to choose deafault programs. And give us some freaking themes apple.

Unfortunately I'm too hooked to their ecosystem now to go back to android full time. Ill probably get a note 5 as a secondary phone though. The hardware on the note makes iPhone looks like a joke.

I'm sure by iOS 10, you will be able to change default applications and customize themes. Now regarding hardware, Samsung Note 5 may be specced out but the software implementation is still second rate. Sure you can walk around bragging to your friends how much RAM you have in your new Note but you can't do anything more useful than the iPhone 6.

Bottom line, Microsoft and Samsung are bending over backwards to copy Apple. That should tell you everything you need to know.
