I moved over from iPhone to Samsung S6 and it was a very good experience. These days, the difference is not that big anymore just like OSX and Windows.. I have to say that i fully enjoy the S6. I was thinking about the iPhone 6S but cost more than 800 euro's. That a lot of money.

Problem with Samsung is once they have sold you there phone it's only supported with major updates for at max 2 versions. Until they can get release out quicker and for longer there is no chance I'd go back

I still find it hilarious that Samsung, pre-iPhone 6, misread what Apple was doing with "curved glass" and thought they meant curved screen, and doubled down on this idea...and now they are stuck pretending like anyone ever wanted that.
Ha! There must be a lot of duped people out there since the S7 Edge was the number one selling Android handset. The #2? Samsung J7. #3? Samsung S7. I don't think Samsung has to pretend people like the edge. It's not really for me personally, but hey I'm not dumb enough to presume because I don't like something it was a mistake to make it.

Planning on replacing my 6+ with a Note 7 ("black onyx" model). Zero interest in the next iPhone. Nothing Apple can do to the hardware will get my attention. It's all about the software, which has seen very few practical changes / feature additions. iOS 10 is really iOS 9.4. This snail's-pace "innovation" by Apple has finally gotten too old for me. Even a jailbreak isn't saving me like I thought it would.

That said, I'll have a 20-day return window, just in case!

So what do you need that stock iOS + extensions doesn't give you? Genuinely curious.

I think the VR headset is goofy... besides, I made my own for my iPhone!

You'll be back. Using Android (even Marshmallow or Nougat) after using iOS is like going from a high end sports car to a 10 speed bike. There is no comparison.

How could they release Android N? The official Nougat update is not even out for Nexus phones yet. It's probably won't be out until late September or early October alongside with the new Nexus phones. Either way, I agree it's disappointing to buy a new phone with an outgoing OS version. Then again, Android N doesn't seem like a huge update over Marshmallow, anyway. The big thing in Nougat for me was multiwindow support, and Samsung has already been doing that since the Galaxy S5.

People have been predicting this month for N for a bit now and some predicting as early as the end of this week

===

Geez folks I don't want one either but I'm not going to go all drama queen about it just read about and enjoy the tech, we are all into tech right?

I wouldn't mind trying one for fun, but I really wish it had stock Android 7.0... I cannot stand these 3rd party android wraps... Well, hopefully Apple has a few surprises next month

.. I am kinda disappointed that Samsung basically released a Galaxy S7 Edge+

Lol! Come back to this site next month when Apple releases its 6ss (aka 7)

We really need someone like Steve Jobs now. I have upgraded every year but will skip iPhone 7. Sad. (iPhone 2->3G->3GS->4->4S->5->5S->6->6S->skip->?)
Shut up. The new iPhone is going to come out and you'll secretly want it again. Everyone always does.

I'll be honest, that phone looks like it kills the iphone 6S in form and in utility. I really like the idea of writing a notes on the top screen for quick note taking.

Someone just posted above why are they reading macrumors, and it's a good question. All these great ideas from other companies is what makes competition great. I thought Apple would rise to the occasion, but now it seams they Apple has prioritized design over innovation as well as design over functionality.

Tim, just leave.

I really thought Tim was a good guy for Apple. But seeing failure after failure and Apple changing into a money machine, it's time for people with vision and love for high tech at the top. About every other tech company is outpacing Apple at the moment. What are they doing all day?

I'd like notifications that aren't oversized like they are in iOS 10. I'd like a toggle view that actually let's me control what's where -- CC in iOS 10 is absolute trash IMO. I'd like to disable animations, because we all know how slow they are. I'd like to place my homescreen icons anywhere I want. I'd like to have more control over my cellular bands while also seeing more detailed info about what I'm connected to. I'd like to control what Wi-Fi frequency my hotspots broadcast. My list can continue.

No, I most likely won't. I've been using Android devices on and off over the past several years and have never had major problems with it to the point where I wouldn't mind leaving iOS. Android now is in the post position it's ever been. iOS? Not so much.

Who do you think should lead Apple?

The User your referring to usually makes similar posts in that fashion, at least from the time I have been on here. Some just find grounds to belittle Macrumors.

Honestly, I appreciate Macrumors posting threads on other Competitors, it keeps me
From having to research other sites and I can view all My material all on one site.

The iPhone 7 will be a day one purchase. I'm hoping for a surprise or two we have not seen leaks or reports of. See you at the September Key Note.
To be fair, Rogifan is a "call it like she sees it kind of girl". An Apple fan? Yes, but one not afraid to level criticism where she sees it. That particular comment just seemed a bit out of character. I mean, this article doesn't even have a single mention of Eddy Cue.:D:p:eek: <-- She will get that reference.
