It has a bump. It's just that it is centered so the phone doesn't rock when you have it flat on a table.3 cameras, no bump. Apple is finished.

I agree on the notch, it's terrible and Touch ID was a better solution especially if it worked under the screen.I hate my iPhone X notch and I hate that corner camera they stuck on the screen. Just so ugly.
If only it ran iOS.Not too shabby Samsung. In fact, not bad at all. Don't think I'll ever tolerate the software, but the hardware seems impeccable.
It's a stupid feature, unless you can use it to charge something like BT headphones.Battery power share, so you can extremely inefficiently share power with a friend. Drain your battery 20% to give 5% to a friend! This is one of those impractical gimmicky features Samsung loves to throw into their phones - there always has to be one....
I think these phones look nicer than the X series. I do like FaceID; however, and would gave a hard time giving that up. Plus the ecosystem...nah, could never use Android...unless they got iMessage. Then maybe.I've gotta admit, those curbed Infinity displays are gorgeous.I'm curious to know Mr. Cook's reaction to theses S10s and the Fold that were released today…

I've been feeling that way about Apple for awhile now, though. Since after the iPhone 6S, there haven't been that many changes to being just "another iPhone". Even with the X, unless Apple makes a noticeable change to the upcoming 2019 iPhone, it's going to be just another iPhone... again.
They're masking almost the whole front of the foldable phone bezels (MASSIVE BEZELS) with black wallpaper too.LOL. They're pulling an Apple with masking the hole with wallpaper.
Like everything except for the hole but maybe it's a stepping stone to when they can switch the display between opaque and transparent so there's no visible hole when not using camera.
12GB RAM is nice for future proofing but would like to know how they plan to utilize it more than just an app cache to keep apps in memory. No mention of DeX enhancements like addition of Windows 10 on ARM that would benefit.
Anybody else freaked out by 5g?
Why do you need fast OS updates on a Samsung phone?Slow OS updates for Samsung.
I've never had an issue with RAM on an iPhone. Never. I frequent these boards probably as much as anyone and I've never heard anyone else complaining about RAM either. You're the first.Folding phone aside, Samsung phones are actually focusing on real world specs for improvement. rather than silly gimmicks only a handful of people actually use. But I'm sure the kool-aid drinkers will chime in shortly about the "user experience"...
It's almost like Apples failure to innovate in the software realm is now showing in the hardware realm too. Even the lowest tier model has double the RAM as the XS. And yes, it DOES make a difference in usability.
The entire history of computing has illustrated a constant, increasing need for more processing memory. You don't even have to look too far back in Apples own product line to see a graveyard of good tech left behind by their decision to kneecap their hardware to drive future sales.
I'm going to make a not-too-bold prediction: you're not gonna hear about missed sales targets of this line of Galaxy phones.
Until Apple copies it, then you’ll think it’s the greatest thing ever. LOLBattery power share, so you can extremely inefficiently share power with a friend. That article doesn't really support your concerns. In fact, the info in it pretty much alleviates any concern you may have. It essentially says you can get tempered glass or plastic screen protectors. Just make sure you get ones that work with the S10 specifically.Which apparently are still impacted. Read the whole article.

If it ran Google's pure version it would be brilliant as Pixel Android Pie runs circles around iOS in every way from stability to usability. Sadly it uses Samsung's Android skin so you are partly correct...Good design and has under screen fingerprint reader. Too bad it runs Android.
We don't know what the targets and what the sales will be. However, these phones represent another iteration of better specs, the same type of thinking that has been applied to iphones in the past.Folding phone aside, Samsung phones are actually focusing on real world specs for improvement. rather than silly gimmicks only a handful of people actually use. Android is actually brilliant, stable and very smooth running. Samsung's version not so much so you are partly right.Very nice hardware... I really wish Android wasn't such a crappy mess.
You did not have a pure version of Android, you used Samsung's version and that might very well have been crappy. Pure Android on the Pixel line is brilliant and in my oppopin far superior to iOS in terms of usability and stability.that statement is subject to personal opinion. I respect that you prefer android over iOS... But I find it very messy, disorganized and crappy in many ways. I prefer the neatness and cleanliness of iOS.... I had Android for a bit on a note 7 and it absolutely drove me nuts..... Sure there are some things it does a lot better than iOS but overall I just couldn't deal with it.
