You guys need to quit your bitching about these types of articles. No, it isn't about an Apple product. But it IS directly related to Apple in that it's their main competition. I, for one, like seeing what the competition is up to without having to go to some Android blog. It's not like these articles flood MR daily.

Your constant complaining is far more annoying than the occasional article about Samsung hardware.
So you're complaining about somebody complaining, good job! :)

20+ mins of cheesy music whilst they make people wait for their "event" to begin? Who decides to allow uploads of keynotes that have all that empty space at the beginning? If that wasn't bad enough, the "event" itself just takes the biscuit... LOL

They don't even introduce the keynote at the beginning, they just have some hipsters playing some awkward, pretentious music... WHAT IS THIS NONSENSE? LOL!

:D:D

Hmmm Note 4 while I've no doubt it be a great device, to me it doesn't offer the wow factor the Note 3 did last year.

It's good they finally added OIS to the camera, which should improve it in low light shots & they improved the front camera alot to.

And having a QHD screen running on a Snapdragon 805 @2.7Ghz while seems impressive won't be all that much faster than the Note 3, the Samsung processor will be the better option with it being 64bit for Android L, but not every country will get it.

The Amoled screen will look superb though, i have a Samsung Tab S and it's the best screen to date from Samsung.

Nice device but nothing really makes me go wow i want it.

Of course Apple isn't in any kind of trouble. But he is right about innovation, Apple's recent phones have not done anything to leave one with that "blown away" sense. Spec wise, iPhones are solid, but boring. The 6, with bigger screens and new iOS 8 features, might finally show Apple finally moving forward a bit - but we'll see.

Does anything Samsung revealed blow you away? Their model is pretty simple. Add a bunch of "specs" to an oversized case and a few gimmicky features. They haven't innovated on anything.

Wow, that wrap around screen does look sexy. I question the actual usage of it, but it does look nice.

ditto... The Edge does look great, but the durability and usability remain suspect.

It's the first interesting looking new phone since the V-072 that I've seen in a number of years.

lolol... had NO idea there was a Samsung event today. Yes, I prefer Apple but I also follow tech in general. The overall lack of hype for Samsung products is comical.

Gear S - make calls on the run ..literally

I'm liking the concept of being able to receive and make calls from the watch untethered to the phone. Think about it, while out for jog, walking the dog, biking, etc, you don't have to be lugging around a 4.5 or 5.5 inch phone, if for any other reason than not wanting to break it or lose it. If I could receive a call now on my watch while running, and text message as well, that is awesome!

If Apple could embed cellular into the iWatch, and let it 'share' the same phone number as my phone, then I'm in!

Samusung's gear may be ugly, but I'm liking the direction they're taking it with this.

By the way..Apple Stock is getting trashed today on Samsung's news. About to break below $99

And yet Samsung sells 400+ million units of this "junk" every quarter.

Actually, they only sell about 5 million a quarter according to the most recent figures.

And in case you were wondering: that's 40% LESS than the iPhone 5s, which is a year old and still easily eating Samsung's lunch.

As for the Note Edge: It looks pretty. I don't think holding it in my hand will be very pleasant though.

And as for Samsung VR? I really, really, don't get how Samsung believes that we'll accept people wearing this:

When we couldn't accept people wearing this:

Well

Well, Apple stock is down 3% while the market is generally flat today or slightly up. So I guess Wall Street was blown away by the announcement of the Note 4.

Of course there was the iCloud photo scandal. But that was over the weekend and Apple's stock went up yesterday. And the breach is looking more like something far less than a widespread security breach and closer to something between phishing and fairly focused and somewhat labor intensive hacking.

So maybe Wall Street believes in the Note 4.

The Note series is blown-away-worthy.

The Note 3 has, among a few things):

Wacom digitizer with pen
Wireless AC
IR Blaster
Wireless charging (with add-on back)
Standard USB 3 port
MicroSD card supporting up to 128GB
As thin as the iPhone 5S

If Apple released this hardware, running iOS, people would go ape-**** over it and you know it.

Wow, that wrap around screen does look sexy. I question the actual usage of it, but it does look nice.

I wonder if it would be more useful to have the edge on the top of the device rather than the side - this way one could look down into one's shirt pocket or purse to see what's displayed there (such as a notification, or a scrolling sports update, or whatever) without having to take it out...

Are you referring to the limited apps that you can run split screen as "multi-tasking" I'm confused.

Some > none. Can't make an argument with nothing. Apple hasn't even put it on the iPad, which is a shame.

Wow, all that crap is UGLY. The watch faces look like something your mom would pick out for graduation and the phone just looks like a rendering done by some 16 year-old.

Since Samsung has made this announcement, APPL stock has dropped like a rock.

Investors must be scared.

If Apple does come out with something larger (yeah, I know... 6 days...), what will the Jony Ive video say?

Remember: "in designing the iphone, we looked at one thing" (video shows a hand), "the hand" (essentially throwing down the gauntlet against the larger phones.) (paraphrased)

"When designing the iPhablet, we looked at one thing..." (video shows a guy with glasses squinting while looking at an iPhone 5), "the eyes"

And if Apple released an iPhone 6 with a display like the Edge it would be front page news.

And yet Samsung sells 400+ million units of this "junk" every quarter. Obviously the strategy to spend years trying to create a cohesive strategy is not paying off for Apple, perhaps Apple can learn to start tossing out what consumers want and then figure out what they need after a few generations of devices.
Samsung have reported zero growth the past two quarters due to the Chinese OEMs yeah basically stalled:eek:

Curved wrap-around glass, because we thought a 10,000% greater likelihood* of a minor drop shattering the glass on your display was exactly what you wanted.

* 10,000% increased probability of shattered glass a fairly conservative estimate based on short-distance (not long enough to significantly contort the case on impact) falls to mostly-smooth surfaces, where the chance of shattering a front-glass device is very small except for directly face-down landings, which now will shatter from the same drop anywhere from face-down to side-down and every angle in between

The 5.5" iPhone will definitely blow away the Note Edge!

*A week later*

So it's just has a bigger screen with no additional functionality?

My bad
