Ah some lucky people will get to see it. I can see cows.🐮 I can see chickens. 🐔 I CAN get to an Apple Store. But Samsung doesn’t have anything near me at all. 🙁 Best Buy sometimes has displays set up a tiny bit in advance. It’s a bit of a pain to get to.

I am in the same boat. I live in a decent sized city but Samsung is not setting up a event here.
I heard pre orders were starting from a couple websites but nothing yet on Samsung.com?
I think some of the reports are mistaking the registration for preorder credit/gifts as an actual preorder.

I've not yet aquainted myself with Good Lock. I've bookmarked a couple of articles on how to get the most out of it but haven't had time (well honestly I lacked energy more than time since I've had a lot of colds
and allergies since October).
I recently had to grab my daughter's 14 Pro to take a quick snap of her she wanted to send to her friend. I was surprised to notice her phone has the same if not worse "shutter lag" I complained about on my S22 Ultra. I actually missed getting the shot and ended up with getting one of her with closed eyes even though I know her eyes were open when I took the photo. She says she has a lot of lag on her iphone camera.

I'm so torn between that pale pink and that off white. My kids vote pale pink for me. So does my husband.
Still, I'm hoping for exclusive colors that I might like even more.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be case with Europe. French prices have already leaked and there are 100-180€ increases, which could be a bit more in Finland thanks to a different VAT. Well, I'll have to see how lucrative the trade-in deals are, for after all I'd like to replace this Exynos S22+ with a SnapDragon model.

Sure wish they'd drop the curved edges on the Ultra and round the corners just a hair. I get that the Ultra is basically a Note now and they are trying to keep the Note look but at least drop the ridiculous curved edges.

that would a perfect smartphone imho. A flat display and a little more rounded corners along with that great camera and zoom and overall workhorse phone the Note line is known for.

Now that we are getting the Snap dragon chip here in the UK, im hoping we see some nice gains in battery life.
I'm a bit disappointed in the colours this year, so far I haven't seen on as good as my Burgundy S22 Ultra. I have red that there will be online exclusive colours, red being one of them.
Also there is talk of price rises, if Samsung want me to upgrade, they need to wow me with the event and offer a good treade in deal for my S22 Ultra.
With the event being in person and live, does anyone think that videos and reviews of hands on and the S23 range will drop shortly after the event?? This usually happens for iPhone at Apple events, but I'm not sure about Samsung 🤔

That mossy grey green is growing on me. I didn't like it at first but then realized I've got a lot of clothes that color! But that's the one my husband would get, so I want something different. We already have matching purple iPhones.
I keep forgetting how expensive the Ultra is. I can't remember exactly what I got for my S21 last year but it made the expense tolerable. My husband only got his S22 Ultra a couple of months ago. He got some kind of discount through his job plus Samsung was practically begging him to upgrade so he got a huge trade in credit on his previous Samsung. I think he said he paid only about $100!!! For his burgundy S22 Ultra. But it is only 128GB.
I definitely need 512 gb. I'd like 1 TB but I don't need 1 TB so I'm not paying for that option.
No, sorry. I only trade older Samsung phones for newer ones. And I can't remember what the credit amount was.

Look at the S22+ and see what you think of that size. My Pixel 2 only seems small when I don’t compare it to my iPhones. Then I realize it’s a bit taller and slightly wider than my smallest iPhones, which are truly tiny. The Pixel 2 had considerable blank space around the display. Newer phones are all display. It means you’re getting a lot more phone in a package close to what you’re used to.
I’m glad you’ve been using your Pixel 2 all this time. I’ve had all sorts of expensive flagships from Apple and Samsung and Pixel and even so, I only fully retired my Pixel 2 last year. It was a phone I truly loved.
And I’m still tempted to revive it from time to time. The display was flawed, I mean there was a pink blotch on it. And yet still I loved that phone and had so many fun times with it. It helped it used to have Google Playgrounds on it that let me put fun Star Wars and Pokémon moving characters into photos and videos. The kids I babysat loved that. Even the teens thought it was great fun. Of course Google abandoned that. 😕🙄
Google Assistant ran beautifully on it. There was just such an ease with that phone.
I hope you love whatever Samsung phone you choose, if that’s what you do end up going for. There is a lot available in One UI. I honestly haven’t ever dived into the full capability of One UI, and now Good Lock, probably because I’ve been splitting so much of my time and attention with iOS.
This is the year I finally take a deeper dive into One UI. Sadly, apparently all iPhones give me migraines and other visual impairments. I struggle with my latest Pixel 6 Pro, too.
I seem able to use my S22 Ultra fine. And I hope that will hold true with the s23 Ultra. I’d like to move in more on my Samsung and let my iPhone be more of a peripheral device. Until this year, it was more the opposite for me.

I second this advice. I took a quick photo of my S22+, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 8 side-by-side to show the size difference. All phones are in their respective cases and especially the somewhat bulky case on the 8 can skew things a bit, but you should still get the idea. To me the S22+ size has been quite optimal and I do love the flat screen. However, I'm tempted by the better camera in the Ultra and might see if I can tolerate the size and the curved screen that comes with the better camera.

Since I got my Z Fold 4 and iPad Mini 6 my eyes have felt bruised (like someone has been pressing their thumbs I into them) and watery. I'm not sure which the culprit is yet...😩

I always go with blue or the default colour black if the other colours are bad.
