It is just fair to bash non-Apples in this forum. It is purely phanboyism to come in here and just to annoy the Apple fans relentlessly / excessively / obsessively at their home forum. :D
Both sides are allergic to criticism, including the Apple fans on their "home forum".

finally, they are trying to finish these lawsuits and starting to focus on their products.

Ofcourse... There is iOS7 to copy now... Back to the drawing board... err I mean copying board... ;) :p

With Apple, not with EU

I just want to ask, when Apple commit a crime against patents belonging to other companies you think they deserve what they get and I'd like to add if they are guilty they do deserve it, like any company that does this.

But I'd just like to add when Samsung try to be anti-competetive as they appear to be here and only back down when faced with a huge fine you seem to think it's acceptable.

At the end of the day it matters not who they're settling with (Apple or EU) it matters they knew they were doing wrong if indeed this story is true.

What are you talking about?

What are you talking about?

The story this thread is referring to is what I'm talking about, and I was just asking a simple question, do you think Samsung is in the wrong here??

I was also saying you point out when Apple are supposedly wrong and wondering are you objective enough to see maybe Samsung are wrong here??

Really, it doesn't matter if Apple was in the wrong, Samsung is in the wrong, Motorola is in the wrong or Microsoft is in the wrong and I don't give a **** if they are wrong or not because it ha<s nothing to do with what I have said.

The only thing I have said is that Samsung didn't said that they will never settle in a trial, they said that they wouldn't settle with Apple like HTC did.

And I don't know if they are in the wrong in this case because it is a settlement and has not been any trial like when Apple settled with the EU. A settlement doesn't means being in the wrong.

Alright maybe not in this thread but you have a history of when Apple does wrong you say so but never heard you say Samsung is the same which they are, maybe I should have made myself a little clearer.

Perhaps you have poor brain capabilities, how about answering the question I asked you, no thought not.

Taking apaert your insult, I have answered the ****qing question. If you don't remember what I have said on those trials and only have a biased memory is your problem, not mine.

The European Commission does not have unilateral power to issue such fines. The can allege wrongdoing, but they must go to the court of justice and have the matter decided according to the law like everyone else.

Believe it or not, the EU isn't some totalitarian regime - it has separate legislative and judicial branches like other democracies!
Here in the US we have separate branches of government, judicial, legislative and executive. However there is a special class called regulations which are authorized in general by the legislature, but written, and enforced by the executive. That standard of "justice" for regulators and regulations is "presumption of correctness by the regulator". That's right. Not preponderance of the evidence, or clear and convincing evidence or even beyond a reasonable doubt. The regulator is in a monologue with itself even if you take it to court. The only work around is to first prove they are being arbitrary and capricious. We did that once. It cost $700k in legal fees to have a single issue addressed. Had the regulator been a bit more tactical in the lawsuit we could not have even achieved that.

You don't really believe that apple started developing the iPhone in 2007 right?

You don't really believe that samsung started developing the F700 in 2006, right?

No I don't hence why the comment that the f700 being released in 2006 (which is false but who cares about facts?) means nothing.

great conversation, read all of the comments, but your last comment made you lose the argument.
