That copper is hideous. 🤮
Honestly, I think this copper is a lot nicer and will weather time much better than Apple's Gold or Rose Gold ever did.

The note ultra isn’t for your average user. It’s for real power users who want everything in a phone which gives them productivity. No phone can compete with the note hardware so people buying this are wanting everything. People who buy the iphone 12 won’t be after all that. They just will want a cheap iphone.

In addition, people now a days are pretty settled in their phone of choice. My sister is a power user and sticks to her Samsung phones, which she assures me nothing competes with. She did dabble in iOS
me, same story but flipped - I have owned multiple androids including recent flagships, but for me iOS is what I need. I’m not about to switch to Android and move 10+ years worth of app purchases over either, I enjoy my iPhone because it gives me dependability and working in healthcare I need my phone for efficient communication, I need everything to work, and if there’s an issue I need it solved ASAP at my local Apple store. Once the battery life finally caught up with the XR and 11 series, it’s been my ideal phone.
This thread will also see its mirror on a Samsung fan site, with majority of people in support of these products, some Apple haters, and some defending apple amidst the excitement of the new products
Those of you who are poking fun at the Fold, smart phones are going in that direction At the very least some of the market will go in that direction eventually, and Apple is also working on folding devices as well.
Jony Ive did say Apple Watch isn’t competing with expensive mechanical watches. I’m sure one reason the Apple Watch isn’t round is so no one can make those comparisons (which Apple Watch would always come out on the losing end). The issue is , with rounded apple watch..people, who indeed has real mechanical watches will always compare and will never buy this...the look of an rounded digital watch it will always look cheap compared to the mechanical...thats why Apple is an almost 2 tril $ company, because they talk with the right people...until apple watch, they talked with the CEO of companies like Rolex, Audemar Piguet etc....so...smart people, talk with those who did watches for decades with centuries of history....others...just pretend and try to copy, like samsung in this case, the big watches manufactures
It's finally occurred to me what's going on with Apple RAM and SSD sizes and prices.... they are getting ripped off by the suppliers and can't access the prices that all the rest of us can!!!!12gb RAM? That’s more than the base 27” iMac lol
I think you are a little behind the times and need to do a bit more research to realize how far off you are with these comments
Then they should have just put it in the left side where there is no rear camera. Please tell me there's another sensible reason for this.
Edit: Sorry I missed the last part of your comment but I still stand by what I said.
Yeah, and it shows. Gears also allow you to customize them via the screen, heck, you can even download new watch faces from Galaxy Store via the screen! And they use universal 20 mm spring bars, so you can use more bands than you can imagine. It also allows for customization via the screen, case and watch band options. Since getting my first, (series 0), I’ve only worn Apple watches.

And Android with Samsung's One UI bloat needs that RAM to run!
Samsung has 2 flagship release cycles per year, Spring (Galaxy S) and Fall (Galaxy Note). They release many more mid-range and lower-end phones in between.Wait, is it just me or does it seem like Samsung releases 10 phones a year?
It's not driving competition if their offering is this bad though![]()
Another awful comparison, 60hz on phones in 2020 is far worse than 60hz screens in 2017 on tablets when high refresh rates was very new until 2018-2019. no flagship should have 60hz in 2020 really not over 1k which the 12 pros will be with the highest being 1500 most likely
Those headphones look dreadful! Samsung finally has bested Apple at something, terrible headphone design. Making it all gaudy doesn’t make it an instant icon either Samsung.
Ah, thank you.its not about the size
it’s the technology. Oled =/= LCD
even Samsung has only been able to do 120hz at 1080p, and they use their best displays every year on the high end notes. Apple gets their displays from Samsung, and they have their design. If they can’t solve their energy requirements, they will disable it even if the display itself could do it
they have their spec. Apple also isn’t the type of company to compromise, they’ll want 120hz at their full resolution
Who said the Note doesn't make sense? I was exclusively talking about the Fold.
Why is it bad? Look at Samsung's smartwatches. Samsung rushed to market with the Galaxy Gear to try to beat Apple by being "first". They tried a couple of standard touchscreens, a curved screen, and finally a circular screen with a rotating dial (which Samsung basically took ideas from Moto 360 and Apple Watch). They have no clue what makes a great product until some other company spends the time to design one. The early smartwatches were quickly abandoned (first Galaxy Gear had less than a years worth of updates) in favor of this circular watch form. How is that good for consumers? How is that good for developers that spent the time to make software for the early watches?
Galaxy Fold is just another case of rushing to market with a product that doesn't really make the overall UX of a phone better. Samsung starts with the tech foundation then adapts the UX while Apple starts with the UX foundation then adapts the tech. These two different approaches yield completely different products and so far the latter approach has been the one that makes the most sense to me.
and Apple takes year to be “innovative”
