So what Samsung has done is let the public know that the next iPhone might have a larger screen, and thus, they should hold off purchasing a Samsung phone as a result. Genius marketing.

Samsung support

I have also bought phones here in the UK and had problems with Samsung support. They lack the customer friendly attitude that Apple have. LG are not to bad though. It's Samsung's culture to be fairly unpleasant, their developer support people are not much better either alas, hence so few original well reviewed unique apps for Samsung devices, just TouchWhiz bloatware. :(

They are gorgeous looking screens, IMO look beautiful!
I for a second time bought Samsung Galaxy Phone. First was Galaxy S2 and now Galaxy S5. Was hugely disappointing with S2 so I thought after years Samsung would have somehow perfected these Galaxy models and man was I totally wrong? It can't be a coincidence that I am having exact same issues that I had with S2! Device overheats after doing things like.... updating several apps from play store for example, or browsing for several minutes? Screen goes totally black and even though "back" and "multitasking" do illuminate the screen does not respond until it decides itself. Many times I had to remove the battery (the only time I have found removable battery useful) in order to restart it, because even the switch OFF button was not waking up the screen.

Toke it to Samsung Store (new one) and the staff said: Oh dear, seem to be faulty. Where did you bought it from? I said: Carphonewarehouse. They said, well, send it back to them.... they should replace it for you. And guess what Carphonewarehouse staff said?? Take it to Samsung Store, just around the corner. They should be able to fix it for you.

Can someone explain these to me? If I use apple products and are generally happy, maybe not a fanboy, but like what it does, works, no issues...why would I consider a company that pretty much mocks me for that choice?

Samsung must be engaging in the practice of "negging."

So many bruised egos in this thread. 400+ posts?? That's pretty extraordinary. I think you guys are giving Samsung exactly what they want.

I don't know how Samsung can brag about their screens, they are the worst of any mobile manufacturer, the aqua blue hue is just awful, looking at photo's you get a washed out blue look, i've seen this on at least 5 different people's S4's and S5's.

I'd say the LG G3 looks to have one of the best displays at the moment with Sony's Z2 coming second.

Android handset makers introduced a bigger screens because that was all they could do to make their phones better.

I'd rather have a phone running iOS, thanks.

Once again: Samsung, don't insult us as customers if you're going to attack Apple.

Funny how irrelevant iPhone has been for a while.

Maybe in your circle of friends/city/country. In my country, they are still the most popular phone.

Not that it matters all that much. You can rest assured that a company like Apple knew that it would only have a short time that it would be the number 1 player in the market, that competitors soon catch up, even overtake. They would have known that eventually the smartphone market would become commoditized. At that point (well before that point) they would move their efforts to something else, and switch to an update/refresh cycle on the iphone, like they have done with computers, laptops, ipods - all of these things were their main profit generators at a time.

While from a consumer, or fan of a particular brand, point of view - the current battle for who has the better smartphone may seem like the biggest thing in the world - from a company perspective they know the lifecycle of product lines, and will be planning accordingly.

Irrelevant? Far from it. Less relevant than it was (to Apple and in the market) - absolutely. Is it a worry? Only if they havent got anything blockbuster the pipeline.

Once the bigger iPhones come out I'm pretty certain that Apple is going to begin to accelerate away while samsung drowns in it's thin plastic ugly sea of crap.

Sweet. Pardon me for thinking Samsung would want to copy Apple on a customer service area.

It's one of the reasons that I stick with Apple's ecosphere, I don't think there's any other manufacturer that has the retail presence that Apple does.

I love the fact that if my phone dies I can take it in and get it swapped on the spot.

No faffing around with "free" insurance with bank accounts, filling out endless forms to get it sent away for repair and be without it for however long, just in and out-done.

It's that kind of peace of mind that I won't be without my phone for long that appeals to me, something that Samsung don't offer.

It is increasingly pathetic how Samsung just attacks Apple. Theyd be better off concentrating on their own tech.

That's the problem though isn't it?

Try as they might, they can't convince people that their devices are the ones to have and can only resort to attacking Apple's products.

That (to me) says more about the lack of faith in their own product than anything.

It's very much like a really insecure child/adult that makes jokes and pokes fun at others.

They do it to keep the spotlight off of themselves, because if people take a long hard look at them, they won't like what they see and will soon just ditch them.

Samsung is that silly, insecure, fun poking, "joke" making child/adult.

Am I the only person left in the world that doesn't want a bigger screen? I think the size of the iPhone 5 is perfect.

Nope - I hate the bigger screens, in my view the iPhone 5 screen is just right, and if I want a bigger screen I use my iPad...

You're not! My 3G fitted perfectly on any pocket, with the 5 i already find it hard to use with some clothe. Do I what a bigger phone? not really.

I am so glad Samsung made this ad, I hope it makes the Apple heads realise how dumb they are to customer demand. I and many others asked for a bigger screen years ago! But Apple are so much up their own bottom they can't see it's this lack of proper forward planning that seem crazy.

Yes I am the guy in the ad waiting 2 years cos I don't want crap android software or their crap phone but that doesn't mean I bought a 5 or a 5s as I thought they were crap too! I want a bigger screen when I saw my 4s side by side Galaxy years ago it seemed obvious it looks a much better phone experience. To me thats a no brainier but maybe Apple never held a Galaxy and compared their phones like normal people do..

Don't you know? Samsung doesn't care about you, these campaigns where they spend billions are for people on the fence. Rather than try to get as many customers as they can, they are going after a tiny group (relatively) of fence sitters.

Lol, the stuff people come up with I tell ya.

Why does someone always come around and post this in these Samsung threads? What exactly do they "want"? A bunch of people making fun of their stupid commercials?
