I love my Fold4. It's definitely the future. I always get stares and have random people ask what type of phone it is. I can't wait for Apple to release one in a couple of years.

aapl still on sideline waiting for compelling tech and reasoning for foldable design - a good thing - let samsung be aapl r&d dept for once

What crease problem? I had ZFold3 and ZFold4 and never had a crease problem. I have an iPhone too! ;-)
Yea I don't even notice the crease anymore. Now I didn't like the Fold (Phone into Tablet) at the VZW store. It doesn't seem like it would fit any better into my pocket like the Flip does. I've never really liked tablets anymore. Phone for on the go and Laptop for a fixed location.

Oh, I really want a foldable phone so i can get crumbs stuck in the middle of it and have a huge movable part to break.

Cue the ignorance. Apple never "attacked" Windows. Windows, or "I'm a PC" did it to himself. There's a difference.
Depends on perspectives. Samsung clearly thinks apple not being able to fold is something they did to themselves. Similarly, the whole "Spin the vista" ad poking fun at the number of vista editions wasn't really a big deal. Just buy home premium and call it a day. But Apple thought it was to make an ad. They even attacked windows 7 but that was a good OS.

Anyways the ad is good fun. Foldables are of no interest to me but even then, that iphone raging at the end was still amusing.

I love it when people say this. It’s like they’re trying to justify spending so much for something with an obvious defect. Sure you can ignore it but it’s there. It will get worse over time.

My old iPhone had a cracked screen. I used it so much I didn’t even notice it. It didn’t affect how it worked and it was fine. That doesn’t mean I would buy one like that without considering the crack.

have samsung forgotten all the other mock adverts they ran only to then copy...

the notch..
the removal of the charger.

Plus... folding? Have they also forgotten the disastrous launch when the things broke and they had to withdraw the product?

Im not anti-samsung or anti choice - but when all you can do to make yourself look better is put others down... its pretty low.
AND until they can solve the crease... who wants a folding phone? Not me thanks.
I don't feel put down... It's just the internet

I kind of miss my Blackberry flip phone, I know it's totally different but this thread gave me fond memories of another life.

I must admit the iPhone design has run its course and getting long in the tooth, the dynamic island is not going to cut it. I would definitely buy a Samsung Flip if it had iOS in it.

It’s clever, but it’s still doesn’t speak to any real benefit of flip phones. Samsung does this a lot. They focus on trying to make consumers feel like they’re “missing out” on some feature instead of communicating tangible and desirable benefits that might make a difference in a user’s life.

Until Samsung focuses on benefits rather than features, their brand will continue to be second tier.

It makes sense to have foldable phone if the goal is to get noticed with ... aaaahs and the oooohs :D

Just what everyone wants, a phone that is at least twice as thick and needs to be opened to see what is on the screen.
No, see, we'll put a second screen on the outside, that offers a preview of what's on the inside screen, as a 15 second continuous loop, complete with someone with an exaggerated facial expression so you can tell at a glance if it's a good thing or a bad thing.
