Widgets, the app tray and Picture in Picture say hello. Wireless charging says hello.
Widgets came out for iOS like 9-10 years after it came out on Android. I don’t think that’s “copying” unless Apple was desperate to have done so in a short space of time not this long

I don’t know when app tray came out for Android

As for Picture in Picture iOS in fact had it before Android though it was only for iPads (iOS 9) until iPhone/iPod Touch this year so that doesn’t count as Apple copying Android 😁😁

No. Samsung had it (picture in picture) on their phones in 2012 before it featured on the iPad. The app tray has been there since the beginning of android. 😁😁

The fact is they all copy from each other. Apple are not above copying.

Doubt it will matter. It’s not going to work as well with Apple devices as Apple’s own airtags will, plus the latter will likely integrate further with their AR glasses.

At the end of the day, Apple continues to lay down the foundation for the future, while Samsung’s own product vision continues to be devoid of any coherence whatsoever.

We are now at the point where companies like Samsung and Microsoft pose absolutely zero threat to Apple whatsoever.

That is some rich guesswork.

They may not be the first but the fact remains that Samsung won't copy the idea until Apple does it. Far as I'm concerned Apple is first if other companies are copying them rather than copying the "original".
Do you really think that Samsung waited until Apple filed patents for a yet-to-be-announced product before deciding to make a similar device? Especially when there is no sales information beyond what Tile is doing?

You clearly have no idea how product development works, or the amount of effort it takes to bring a product to market. These things don't just pop out of the air.

Except Apple made these features better not just copied. Look at FaceID, face unlock has been available at least 1-2 yrs but it was terrible on Android. Apple made it work.
I also said others copy from Apple not necessarily that are positive, removing headphones and charger accessories. Samsung already said they will do the same.

There are many features and services that Apple has also copied that they did not make better. They tried to make on wireless charging better with MagSafe, that doesn't seem to be working out too well. I mean, they are already on the defense about those chargers causing damage to their cases.

There’s a difference between copying business moves and copying design. I see Apple copying many business moves from diffeeent tech companies but they don’t really copy design. Whereas Samsung only seems to know good design when they copy it from others.
What designs has Samsung copied (and please don't use the old smartphone patent from Apple that is a joke)? Samsung watches are circular, not square. Their phones don't have notches, and their so-called smart tag product is closer to a tile than the yet-to-bet-announced Air-tag (congrats Apple, your's might be a circle instead of a square).

As normal. Apple drags its feet on a product. Others go to market first. Community claim Apple is just catching up.
With the resources Apple has they really have no reason or excuse not have have products out much sooner.

Of course Samsung don’t actually decide to make any products off their own steam. All they do is sit around waiting for Apple to file patents and then copy. Amazing how they do so well.

MagSafe is from Apple designed since MacBook years ago. Are you saying just because it’s wireless charging it is copied from another? If Audi have wheels on their cars does that mean they copied BMW since both have wheels. You’re making no sense!

Let’s put it this way. Samsung are the biggest selling smartphone maker in the world. They sell more phones than Apple.
But how many of them are up to date? If they can roll out new versions of Android to all their users quickly, or even just a patch to enable the FindMy background piggybacking functionality, then they could have a great system.

In a past post you said Apple improves upon technology. My rebuttal to that is they tried to improve upon wireless charging by adding magnets to their phone and cases under the MagSafe umbrella and its clearly not working. You still have to physically detach the charger from the back of the phone or case (which defeats the purpose of quickly picking up and putting down a device to charge it). Plus they are on the defense about the charger causing a ring on the cases. I don't understand how that doesn't make sense.... but hopefully that helped.

Ooh, what's this - have I missed some news? Got a link?

From the link to the supporting documents:

"If you keep your iPhone in a leather case while charging with your MagSafe Charger, the case might show circular imprints from compression of the leather. This is normal, but if you’re concerned about this, we suggest using a non-leather case."

Sorry, but if you design an OEM case to work with an OEM charger, this shouldn't be "normal".

Yeah, that's kinda pants. You'd think adequate cushioning would resolve that issue. I still like MagSafe though, incorrect alignment with non-MagSafe wireless charging is a right pain.

Ah another defensive post from you in Samsung’s honor. Haha. Samsung has already proven that as long as Apple does it they will do it. Samsung is a piece of crap company who laughs in Apple’s face about removing the headphone jack then they turn around and remove the headphone jack a year or so later and remove all the advertisements they had on the web mocking Apple. Hypocrisy at its best. Samsung should be ashamed of themselves. Crap company.

Indeed, they are such a crap company that Apple sources components from them because no one else can match their quality. Have you ever actually used of their devices? The screens in the Galaxy lineup are superior to iPhones. Night time photos are superior as well.

When Apple comes out with a phone that has a foldable display, just remember who did that first too.
