Look, Samsung is going down, 70% less profits in the last year, and it actually doesn't matter one bit what you post, it's not going to change. Their reputation is gone. Everyone knows that they only achieved sales by paying more for advertisements than anyone else, but they don't have the money for that anymore.

There is so much wrong in this post, it's amazing!

How could the exact same not have been said about the iPhone, then? There were supposedly only 9 iPhones even reported to have bent in real life.
Keep quoting that 9, I know you like to believe what Apple tells you. Just in this very thread, someone said his got bent as well. Like i said, when the S6 actually bends in normal use, then we can claim it's a problem.

You should read the article.

The quote is from a top executive from a mobile carrier who wished to remain nameless. hmmmm

This is just a rumor at best we will see how the numbers shake out soon enough.

I don't really care who sells the most, a source was asked and I just provided.

The S6 will sell well, that's a given but I doubt it'll surpass the iPhone 6/6+ but like I always say, who gives a flying f? None of that money goes in my pocket.

In neither case is it a problem. It amazes me that you assume I'm in denial but there is proof right in front of your face that both phones are bendable at the same amount of pressure. Considering there will probably be about 5x as many iPhone 6 owners than S6 owners, as is the case with every galaxy line vs. iPhone, you will probably never see it.

So what makes you think the one person in this very thread isn't one of the nine people? Why do you actually believe him? Why do you disbelieve Apple but believe Samsung?

So they make fun of Apple for it in their marketing but then when it happens to them just say that it would never happen in normal usage.

**** you Samescum.

Samsung, biggest hypocrites in the world. Not surprised.

Even the OneOfTheNine.com website gave up on this charade back in December.

But there is no need to strengthen them to avoid bending _in normal use_. If people sit with their fat arse on a phone, whether Apple or Samsung, it will bend. Now of course the people who did blame Apple are suddenly changing their mind when Samsung has the same problem, so I say: Bring it on. Have a bit of fun at Samsung's expense. Just realize that the whole thing is nonsense.

I seem to remember that most if not all of the first reports did not involve the phone being in the back pocket. People started saying that the people reporting it were lying and had the phone in their back pocket because they didn't want to admit that it was a real problem.

The thing about this situation that has me shaking my head is this: if Samsung hadn't gone and flat-out said their phones don't bend, this wouldn't be an issue. Sure, people would still be going and doing these stupid bend tests, but it wouldn't look nearly as bad for Samsung if they hadn't put themselves up on a pedestal just to be immediately knocked down.

Not to mention that their attempted defense, and their demanding that an independent organization "re-test" the phone doing things Samsung's way, is just mind-boggling.

Not saying Apple handled the situation great back last year (although letting media into their stress-testing facility was neat), but Samsung is really, really shooting themselves in the foot right now. They're coming off as defensive, petty, and childish, which does not help their case.

Can't accept anything someone publishes to the web as a source. I guess I should have asked for a credible source.

I think it will sell, but less than the previous models since the iPhone put out the plus model.

I guess Samsung doesn't like it much, when the shoe is on the other foot...

Wouldn't the shoe be above the Galaxy, about to stamp on it repeatedly with frustration? Bending should be a plus point for the Galaxy range - it means less pain when you smash up this piece of crap.

These bend tests are silly. If somebody is dumb enough to put a slab of metal and glass into their back pocket and then sit on it, they should expect it to bend.

These bend tests are industry practice and allow good correlations to usage scenarios in the field. This is only one test of many, many tests that are used to assess the reliability of a product.

Bendable or not. People shouldn't be so stupid to leave their phone in their back pocket and then sit on it. Especially if you're on the chunky side.

Are they saying 20 million pre-orders by individuals who will end up with a phone on or soon after launch day?

Or are they just saying that carriers worldwide have ordered that many phones, most of which will likely go un-sold until after those carriers start offering buy-one-get-one deals?

Because one of them is actually record-breaking, and the other is just a new twist on the old "reporting shipment numbers rather than sales" trick that Samsung has used for years to show how they're leading the smartphone market.

iPhone 6 didn't bend in real life in anyone's pocket, so what is your point?
Right, keep believing that. I also have a bridge on the moon to sell you.
There is nothing to back up. It's been known for sometime.

Of course there is nothing to backup when you have no proof that can be shown. Kind of like your posts in this thread. Try harder.

I would think that it would not be that comfortable either.

Huh?

So anyone that has more than 66 lbs of weight on their azzzzz will bend the phone if they put it in their back pocket.

Who carries their phone in their back pocket?

Yeah, weight is not what the 66 lbs refers to, it's pressure, or pounds per square inch.
