My iphone 6 is the most scratch proof phone i have ever had, they are plenty durable without a case.

I haven't used a case since iPhone 4 and I even went through the 5 and 5s without a case. My phones consistently look better than half the phones in cases when the cases come off. It's amazing what a little bit of dirt in a case will do to scratch up a phone, especially on that black and slate 5. People who drop their phones a lot probably need a case, but I dont, and I've been fine without one for a long while.

Here's a novel idea... perhaps Samsung and Apple can make stronger phones so bending is less of a problem.

People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

As I mentioned previously yes, the amount of pressure test is silly because it's not real world, which is exactly what people were saying when the attacks were on apple. But it seems Samsung fans weren't willing to admit that until there devices were no longer the strongest under these extreme conditions.

Hopefully Samsung learned a lesson from this experience and the future can compare their devices based on real world testing.

But there is no need to strengthen them to avoid bending _in normal use_. If people sit with their fat arse on a phone, whether Apple or Samsung, it will bend. Now of course the people who did blame Apple are suddenly changing their mind when Samsung has the same problem, so I say: Bring it on. Have a bit of fun at Samsung's expense. Just realize that the whole thing is nonsense.
When Samsung actually bends in real life in your pocket, we can then say it's the same problem. Until then, it's not actually the same.

iPhone 6 had 10 million presales the first weekend. Galaxy S6 15 million

sooooo I'd call that a record or at least good ;-)

Except that you are confusing numbers. iPhone 6 numbers were orders from end users. Samsung numbers are orders from stores. They aren't sold, the stores have to sell them. Apple probably didn't publish these numbers because every store said "send me as many as you can".

iPhone 6 didn't bend in real life in anyone's pocket, so what is your point?

Please, Apple throws mud no less than others.

Look, Samsung is going down, 70% less profits in the last year, and it actually doesn't matter one bit what you post, it's not going to change. Their reputation is gone. Everyone knows that they only achieved sales by paying more for advertisements than anyone else, but they don't have the money for that anymore.

So, Samsung, it's ok to target Apple when someone realizes it's possible to manually damage a phone, but as soon as you're the target, it's not fair?

Your hypocrisy would be laughable if it wasn't so deafeningly pathetic.

Samsung manufactures parts for Apple at Apples Specs. Then samsung steals those specs to make "samsung" products. If Apple were smart they would move all manufacturing to TSMC or take it in house.

No, that's not true. It is true that Apple designs the chips and Samsung produces many of them. But these chips are _not_ in any Samsung phone. Copying the design of the iPhone 3G was bad. Actually using Apple's chip designs would be suicide.

Since its not officially out.........

Come on. You know the buzz on this phone compared to the iPhone is low and sales numbers will support that also.

But that is nothing new. There has never been a contest when you compare the the Galaxy S series numbers to the iPhones in terms of sales.

How could the exact same not have been said about the iPhone, then? There were supposedly only 9 iPhones even reported to have bent in real life.

To be accurate... Samsung has not released any actual numbers. It's rumored that they have 15 million pre-orders to their channel partners. Not end customers.

Apple had 10 million pre-sales to customers. So, to be fair, you can't compare these until actual numbers are released.

As far as this phone bending too? It's too bad Samsung had to make a big deal over it with the iPhone 6 release because now theirs does too. They should have had more class and just laid low when that was happening. These sort of things by Samsung is why I don't like them as a company.

That's the point Samsung has no class.

Low? Not sure what you have been reading but it's far from low.

So anyone that has more than 66 lbs of weight on their azzzzz will bend the phone if they put it in their back pocket.

So you're saying a bent phone in your back pocket is not a poorly made phone. It's telling you, you are too fat.
