So what's next? Apple copied Nokia for implementing a phone call on a mobile phone? Gee!! Apple's fingerprint scanner is no where implemented on the same way as Motorola's.

And by your logic then Samsung has in no way copied Apple then, because its implementation is also different. That has to be the fact using your own logic.

Where in the real world... They both have copied the idea from Motorola.

That Gear Fit has a pretty silly design. Everything will be side on, unless you stick your elbow out and strain your arm

Not any more...

If you wear in with the screen on the same side as your palm the orientation could work. Just flip your palms up (with your hands out) and you can read the screen just fine.

Looks like the best Android phone that's out there.

A great upgrade for S4 users. I hope I can say the same about the iPhone 6 for 5S users.

This I don't get. Most people are on 2 year contracts so the upgrades would generally be S3 to S5, and iPhone 5 to iPhone 6. Granted Apple will get a lot more 5S to 6 upgrades than Samsung will get S4 to S5 upgrades, thats because of Apple's fanboys though.

Also I actually think the HTC One and Sony's Z1 and (by the time the S5 is released then Sony will have the Z2 out) are better phones which are on Android.

What do you class as gimmicks?

Run out of ideas? What about adding water resistance? Child settings?, Ultra battery saving? Fitmess applications?

I believe you're responding to someone who couldn't possible be objective if they tried.

Okay it might just be me but it certainly looks like Samsung doesn't even try to hide it any more! Finger print sensor (Sounds like it works like crap) and Gold (More like dirt ugly bandate colour!) - Wtf Samsung? What's wrong with coming up with new ideas yourself?

No if Apple gets more 5S to 6 upgrades it will be because of the larger screen. Or carrier plans that allow for earlier upgrades.

Did you not see the post two above yous?

What about adding water resistance? Child settings?, Ultra battery saving? Fitness applications? etc

Apple was not the first to add a fingerprint scanner or use the colour gold and certainly wont be the last.

In fact, Samsung released a gold galaxy phone before Apple.

I'm guessing you just clicked and wanted to post your reply. Because much like what you're accusing Samsung of - you've now just done. Copied SOOOO many people before you ;) Teasing - but seriously - this comment has been made quite often in this thread. I'd love to read something more original..

So tell me - do you not find a heart sensor in a phone new? How about one-click child "section" on a phone. What about water resistance? What about a secured photo section? What about an extreme battery saver mode?

I guess we see what we want to see and then bury our heads in the sand for everything else...

It's coincidence. You have no evidence that Samsung would not have offered the Galaxy 5S with a fingerprint sensor in the home button and also would have not selected gold as a standard colour if it weren't for the iPhone 5S. So it's all speculations.

And we will ignore all the people who said that the Galaxy S5 will have a fingerprint sensor and a gold edition as soon as the iPhone 5S was released.

Yes, amazing coincidence. :)

I don't get why they made the phone bigger they are just getting hammered in the tech community for that?

Apple was the first to launch the color gold globally
Apple was the first to a fingerprint scanner successfully

You don't get credit getting halfway to the moon you have to reach the moon

Ah, there go those "Apple Goalposts".

Logic of an Apple fanatic.

If Samsung is first they are trying to beat Apple by copying rumours.
If Samsung are second they are copying Apple.

Does that mean Apple copied Nokia?

Props to Samsung for being the first to put a heart rate sensor in the phone.
And yes Samsung does copy rumors but that's business nothing wrong with that.

Since when do you need to unlock an iPhone to take a phone call?

Or making a call, or whatever...meaning you can do it with one hand. Didn't think I needed to explain it more, but I guess I did. Bad on me for assuming.

What rumours does Samsung apparently copy? Not this "iWatch" which hasnt even been cofirmned or announced.

Samsung have released smartwatchs for years.

The heart rate sensor in a phone is new but as many tech bloggers have pointed out it's inconsistent and inaccurate. You have inaccurate readings in the area like this could potentially be very dangerous

They anticipated fitness biometrics and came out with it first again I applaud them for that but the implementation is so so.

Really - having a gold phone is "reaching the moon"

I find it ridiculous that so many people get so bent out of shape because of a phone color.

Seriously? OMG - their phone is also GOLD... this is INSANITY!!!!

Features that are there just for the sake of it. Your average person doesn't really use them for more than 2 hours, but they're just tacked on to increase the list of features. Water resistance is nice. Child settings... That's nice. Ultra battery savings Okay... I can tack "ultra" onto anything to make it seem amazing. Fitness applications... ... Anyway, my point was that it's not a big upgrade. Don't even get me started on the heart rate monitor... Looks like they're slowly running out of things to add to their phones. You can tell me all of the things they've added, but that won't change my perception.

It is called security. Want your print stolen from a malicious Android developer? Be my guest.

It's just like how the iPhone 2g had no cut/paste, no SDK and no 3G on release day. Apple have restricted it's touchID for a reason. Maybe in the future it'll be open to developers if it can be kept secure.

Stop it. I'm sure there are security measures that can be in place. After all, how often do you hear about developers stealing passwords? You enter passwords into apps all the time. Granted you only have one fingerprint and you can't change it, but using security as an excuse just seems overhyped to me. Apple needs to figure it out, or someone else will and will reap the benefits of such a useful feature.

As for cut/paste, lol terrible example, there certainly is no excuse for that F up on Apples part.

I'm not bent out of shape the point I was trying to make was that Samsung was hesitant to release the S4 in gold globally
