You guys should give Blip a try. I used to use Local Send, but at times it didn't work. Blip is faster and works 100%. It has a better and easier app.

Haven't really ran into issues with Local Send... plus I like the UI better over Blip, especially when using the iPad and Galaxy Fold (tablet layout with the 2 column).

I'm the same. I like the layout of Local Send and no issues or slow transfers but I use it for simple stuff.

Not really. Depending on the light hitting it, indoors it will look violet but a dark violet. Some angles make it look black. Outdoors in the sunlight, it looks great, a luminescent violet. The color slightly changes as you move it around. Your local Best Buy has it on display (if you have one) or carrier store. I had the violet for a week, it had camera issues.... again, so it was exchanged for Sky Blue which I actually like better & the 1x camera is perfect. As a photographer I can see issues with the camera that regular users don't see or pay attention to. So, I've been through several S26 ultra phones just to get a great camera. But the Cobalt Violet is a nice color.

We had lots of weather on the island this past week and a bit, so mine is caught up in transit somewhere. I am dying to get it. I set up a black ultra yesterday and in certain bright lights, it hints of dark blue. Very cool colors from Sammy this year. The purple/violet shifts between blue/purple with lighting, it's VERY VERY NICE. It's not as purple as the iPhone 14 pro was, but it's really nice.

An S27 Pro would definitely be in the running. I've always wanted the Ultra's specs in a smaller body. Hopefully Samsung puts new cameras/lens in the S27 as well. Meanwhile, Pixel 11 Pro or the iPhone 18 could win me over, too.

Samsung is starting to raise their prices. No change on the S26 series yet, but if you are on the bubble, now might be the time to buy.

It's a real problem for a very small group of people. I know that. It's fact. I put it in quotes because it's a non-issue for most people. Next time ask for clarification instead of going grumpy mode on me. And I'm sorry if it's an issue for you.

I got mine yesterday. What a nice looking device. Love the iridescent purple color. The black is the same but turns shades of blue in the light. It feels much better in the hand that my 25 ultra did as well. I have not did much to it yet, but I am getting it all set up.

Samsung needs to focus a bit more on quality, this flippin bug affects most of the Android users at our place.

S27 Pro could be amazing if its reasonably small and very light weight with all the cameras. Then all it would need to be perfect would be rounded sides/edges.Probably too early to start a S27 thread, but I'm quite excited by this news, if true:

I was wondering why Outlook would have problems syncing with my Google calendar on the S26U. I couldn't even toggle on the option to "sync this calendar" in my Outlook settings. I had to manually open the Outlook email app every time I added an event to my calendar for it to sync with Google and appear on my phone. Also could not authenticate my account without using another device. I (factory) reset the device, reset my Outlook settings on my PC + web and my phones. I have Office 365 Enterprise. No longer have the phone partly because of this / have zero tolerance when it comes to issues that affect work.

It's a pain. Now there is a fairly simple solution to it but still, annoying bug that should have been identified before releasing the update. Not saying Apple is any better, they have their fair share of QC problems. But haven't seen Office apps break this bad on iOS yet.
I can only hope they release a fix asap for this.
Just picked up a pair of buds 4 pro. Really nice. Noise cancellation is great.

What earbuds did you have previously? I actually bought some B4P last week because I misplaced my B3P... but later found. So, I decided to take the B4P back... but if Samsung offered trade-ins then I'll take advantage of it because I don't see the point in having two wireless earbuds (at least for me).
Last pair I had were Apple airpods pro 3, not exactly sure why but I find the Samsung buds more comfortable to wear
Anyone gone from a pixel 10 pro xl to a S26U? is the camera a big downgrade? Trying to hold off, but liquid glass has done me in, and the battery seems a bit poo on the pixel (plus it won't charge in my Partners VW tiguan.
And how is the screen compared to the S25U? I heard it was a bit lower quality due to the privacy

I have both the 10XL and the S26U. They both have their great points and not so great points.
But overall I feel the S26U is a better device. It is faster, charges faster, and the cameras are on par with each other.
I don't see a difference between the pictures from both phones to be honest. Then if you add in zoom the S26U nudges ahead. Battery life is a difference maker as well. On my Pixel 10XL I can get 4 hours SOT while the S26U gets around 7 hours SOT.
I do love some of the Pixel features like "Now Playing" to identify songs and call screening. I wish I could get those on my S26U! The Pixel just does them better.
I don't see a difference in the displays to be honest here. They both have great vibrant displays to my eyes.

I agree the S26U is the overall better device. Camera I lean towards the Pixel as it seems to handle motion better and is better in low light situations in my opinion. Battery has actually been doing really well for me. I still prefer Pixel experience better than OneUI but the S26U display wins me over between the privacy display, the slightly bigger screen, and just how vibrant it is. Also it is buttery smooth and the Pixel tends to stutter sometimes when scrolling. Hard to go wrong with either device but I tend to lean towards the S26U.

Pixel 10 Pro XL battery life has actually been slightly better than my S26U. Best I have seen from a pixel.

I ended up settling in around 7.5 to 8 hours. I do notice I get worse battery life when my t-mobile sim is in it than my at&t sim. I'm sure reception is a big factor as well and the pixel is known for having weaker modems. Traveling for the next week and have the sim in my S26U because I just trust the battery more. I sure miss the pixel though. I love the way it handles live activities and just the overall ui better.
