I'm a fan of this new look especially if it means no more wobble. I use my devices case-free.

Too bad we'll have to wait until February '27 to know about the S27 Pro. It'll be difficult to resist upgrading to the Pixel 11 or iPhone 18 Pro during that wait. Waiting for all three to be out would lead to the best decision...
Wobble never really bothers me as I don't use my phone much while it is laying flat but the camera array has long been a pain. Hard to use a portable magnetic charger with it. As good as the battery is, I still like to have a portable charger on long days when I'm away from an outlet such as last weekend when we were at Universal in Florida. We stayed at the park open to close. Crowded so I'm sure the towers were stressed and it was taking a beating while inside buildings trying to maintain signal. Battery was at about 12% when we got back to the car.

Wow, still pretty great that it lasted the entire day.

Agree, another benefit of the new camera array would be for magnetic charging and accessories.

May update is out in the uk

just returned mine. Camera dust
Are you getting another one in return? I purchased 3 or 4 of them at best Buy due to camera quality issues before getting perfectly Good cameras,/optics. This is normally the reason why I don't ever buy cell phones on or near release date. I usually wait several months for the quality control to improve before getting one. That's exactly what I did with my iphone, i waited three months before purchasing.

Have owned every single phone mentioned in that list and never returned 1!

I'm not one who overly inspects their phone to the n-th degree though.

I think I've only ever returned one device ever, I forget which phone it was exactly, think it was the Galaxy S4 for randomly shutting down and rebooting.

I have zero issues with any of my phones. I am bored with the samsung however. It's not speaking to me. My pixel 8 pro is my go to. If I added a launcher and stuff to the 26 ultra I may change my mind, but it's my work device and samsung want's me to stay stock with it to showcase them. There's nothing wrong, but just "boring".

I looked out of sheer curiosity. This goes all the way back to 2009 and iPhone 3G! That has got to be the worst tech luck I've ever seen.

Is the Google apps color bug fixed in OneUI 9? I've seen it in the S26 series and S25 series. The color scheme is messed up. I tried the Z Fold 8 and Chrome looked like before, so I'm guessing Samsung finally fixed this bug?

I think I know the answer, but how is the 26ultra doing regarding pictures of moving objects (kids for example). That has been one of the reasons im not switching. The iPhone pictures are just so good (point and click) and Live Photos are unbeatable.

I have the iphone 17 pro max & S26 Ultra. I never use live photos on the iphone because it's a short video clip and the individual photos are poor in resolution and details compared to the 48mp individual images. There is a setting in the S26 ultra where you can set the minimum shutter speed for the camera much like a DSLR and the camera will not drop below that shutter speed & you will have sharp photos all the time.

The one thing I can't stand about the iphone camera is the fact that apple ios allows zero control over the camera unless a third party app is used. I've used the Moment app & set the ISO & shutter speed to have more control. But, the downside to that option was my camera resolution dropped to 12mp from 48mp. Again, no control. I emailed Moment & asked why the app does this, their reply was apple control, nothing we can do about it. Also Apple only allows 1 second exposure time max, no 30" like Samsung allows. So that's why I use the Samsung s26 Ultra full time now, iPhone is partially used.

I have been a pro photographer for decades, so these camera options on Samsung or iPhone for that matter may not benefit you as they do me unless you are a photographer as well. The 200mp camera on the S26 Ultra is phenomenal. Especially when I use Expert Raw.

As @ToddH noted in settings you can change shutter speed minimum to say 125 or 250 also change the setting to take photo on tap not release, which many fail to do and why you see so many posts about "Shutter Lag" wrongly

Also panning with your moving/running subject helps with any phone

I often find when I am sent Live Photos via WhatsApp they behave oddly

You also have "Motion Photos" on the S26 for a still image and a short video clip 🙂

Is this shutter speed a one time thing or do you have to change it for each photo and scenario?
