It’s not for me, however, there are people who will like them, and it’ll be the best phone for them. Let’s not make this a crap v genius argument. There can be a middle ground too, and where there is, there will be a market.

Jobs introduced a phone, an iPod, Netscape navigator.

That solved a problem, it reduced by two thirds the number of devices.

Foldable doesn’t solve problem that I am aware exists. Technologically it clever however it has no legs.

The ad is bad, doesn’t even show the phone. It’s like on Top Gear when Porsche released the Cayenne and the release photo was 3 Cayennes in the dark and all you could see were their headlights because even Porsche knew it was ugly. Folding phones really are a waste of Aluminium

If apple debuts a foldable iPhone in 2025, it'll be at least 2030 by the time I'm convinced the screens and hinges are durable enough to last. Sadly, my early adopter days are over, lol.

LCD screens that fold in half are an unworkable solution in search of a nonexistent problem. Nobody has yet to produce a folding screen that's even fractionally durable enough. I just don't understand what the obsession is.

I'm thinking there's room for a new OS for phones. IOS is great, but android it not very good. It's just that Android apps are weak, although the phone functionality is good. Not anywhere near Apple. So a competitor could perhaps move in, and move out Android (or at least intensify competition). Lets' hope so LOL

Ok that's going to be so amazingly fun to unfold and fold every two minutes and work out which way up it is. And even more fun to get a warranty replacement after 2 months on because the screen popped.

these are a gimmick
Says random internet iPhone user whom has never used one.

These are not a gimmick and I love my Zflip3 more than any iPhone. Easier to pocket, screen is protected when in your pocket. Aspect ratio is great. Foldable phones are the future. iPad in your pocket is the past. Best phone I have had in a long long time.

No offense, but of course they’re not showing it. It’s to “draw you in” to watching the event. Apple does that a lot.

At least someone is trying to bring something new to the table instead of just decreasing the notch size.
That’s pretty generalized. Haven’t seen android touch Cinematic Mode.
Samsung is making iphones look like dinosaurs. I don't care what anyone says, foldables are the next decade and Apple is way behind.
Did you type that from your curved screen monitor after turning off your 3D TV?
