The fourth generation will be greatly improved: it will break in 18 months instead of 12 months.
This looks like it's going to be AWESOME! Meanwhile, in the other corner, we have a few spec bumps.
Jeez so many close minded people, remember many said the iPhone was an delicate, expensive gymick.these are a gimmick
3rd gen (there was no flip2) but, they are relatively new still. I still get people ask questions or making comments about it when paying for things or just out and about a year later (Z Flip3) Great conversation starter, people use to do the same with my new iPhones back 2008-2011. But nothing like the Flip. It's still got shock factor a year later here in Australia.I find it interesting that they still market it as new, despite it being their 4th generation.
The dual CAM mechanism is pretty sturdy. The Fold is alright for gaming but would recommend an s22 over the Flip if gaming is your priority. The point of a foldable is similar to a laptop, very hands free and pocketablity. I have the Flip3 it is super usefulI just don’t get the point of foldable smartphones. More so when gaming. I can see it playing a first person shooter game or racing game. One slight move of your fingers then the screen will start to fold. To me that just frustrating to think how simple a phone can just flip close.
Crazy how people can spend that amount of money to experience new technology!I can remember them from the very early 90s. Motorola MicroTAC. They were over $5K and people bought them.
My flip3 just about hit 12 months, they are more durable then you relize. They have closer to a 5 year life. If you're referring to 90 degree turning wheels they are actually very popular for drifting. The Flip is Luke the laptop of the mobile world it won't replace slabs but they will be huge, open your mind.$1,800, 12 month life span phone...Good for Samsung! They certainly have a particular audience picked out. Maybe not the brightest, but they'll sell a few of them and can say they have a flip phone. I think it's similar to the cars that have 90% wheels that let you drive sideways. Never really caught on did they?
Look at it this way: no matter how crazy the idea may sound, someone has to try it. Otherwise you'll never know if it works or not.I'll give Samsung credit for trying. But I am yet to be convinced of the need and durability of this form factor. I'm sure it exists, but it is just not for me.
