I gotta say. Although I have a bunch of iPhones and they are great, my Samsung Flip Phone is awesome.
So you haven't used a recent Android device. Got it.Samsung, and all Android phone manufacturers seem to choose the small-brained tactic of BIG NUMBER = GOOD which appeals to only the most uneducated consumers. Everything is a facade with the implication that more is better, when in reality everything is of a poorer quality and done to a lower standard. It’s like someone showing off their brand new McMansion, a nice gigantic house constructed with only the finest cardboard and paper mache.
Perfect and precise. Without the need to criticize the competitor…. people have their preferences and that’s all there is to it. But this obsession with I choose Y over X… so that means X is garbage whereas why can‘t both X and Y be great devices.I bought an iPhone because I want an iPhone. It doesn’t matter how great Samsung’s phone is.
Nah, Apple prefers child labour exploitation, illegal anti-union activities, not paying its own retail employees for time spent undergoing bag searches, knowingly selling defective products etc.Perhaps they should copy Samsung and also move into corruption ?
I agree. You’ve liked my comments on my Samsung phones, so I know you are fine with wide viewpoints and I know you know that I love my S22 Ultra. My husband loves his Fold 3. Samsung does a lot of things right.Samsung just wants Apple iPhone's sales margin. It's too bad, they will never catch up to the iPhone. However, I do welcome the competition. But don't be throwing shades. That's low!
That was my suspicion as well. Of course, I’ve got nothing to back that up… Given how well known most of the night sky is, all the Android astrophotography efforts could be built on knowing what’s SUPPOSED to be there and then making it be there.Yes, they are AI renditions of the moon, not actual moon photos. Because we know what the moon looks like from every angle it's non-trivial to "enhance" whatever shot you take of the moon based on your location and the angle you are shooting at.
I personally thought the ad was witty. I didn’t think it was ridiculous at all, but that’s just my point of view. The ad comes off as if it’s hyping up the iPhone then trades little jabs here and there. It’s all just fun and games (imo).Samsung always comes out looking ridiculous when they resort to these stupid ad campaigns. Especially when we know they’re either going to copy exactly what they’re mocking or they are going to sell their stuff to Apple. I’d have thought they’d have moved past this by now. But maybe it amuses someone at Samsung to troll Apple and its customers like this. Maybe it’s all an inside joke between Samsung and Apple that we don’t know about. 😆
No actually, please do get started: What exactly is so bad about the latest samsung android phone compared to an iPhone? Give me the 3 biggest issues they have compared to the iPhone.
I'm not trying to be combative, I really am curious...
I really dont understand theGalaxy S22 Ultra to me is better looking and enjoy the form factor overall. However with a MBP and a family that has iOS I am limited to Apple for now.
If they would stop with the stupid shiny stainless steel border that's a fingerprint magnet in addition to smaller bezels (rumors say that's what we are getting) I am happy.
No matter what, their phones still run Google's bloatware-laden Android which is one of the main reasons I went to iPhone.
In a new ad, Samsung is throwing shade toward the lack of "innovation" on the iPhone while promoting features such as a 108-megapixel camera and 100x "Space Zoom" available in its latest devices.
The ad, titled "Buckle Up," is aimed toward current iPhone users and promotes the Galaxy S22 Ultra, the new Z Flip 4, and features not available to iPhone customers. "Buckle up for Apple's latest launch," the ad says. "As you enter a world where heads will turn, just none in your direction." A world where "the highest resolution in a smartphone will be in someone else's pocket. And that epic moon shot that's getting all the likes won't be yours." "This innovation is not coming soon to an iPhone near you," the 30-second ad concludes.
The ad comes just six days ahead of Apple's "Far Out" event, where it's expected to announce the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro. Apple is planning major new features on the Pro camera systems for its higher-end devices, including an all-new 48-megapixel camera and possible 8K video recording. Alongside camera improvements, the iPhone 14 Pro is rumored to feature an always-on display and a new pill-shape notch replacement.

MoongateThat was my suspicion as well. Of course, I’ve got nothing to back that up… Given how well known most of the night sky is, all the Android astrophotography efforts could be built on knowing what’s SUPPOSED to be there and then making it be there.![]()
You're your own biggest enemy.Samsung's not wrong. The iPhone 14 Pro Max will have a pill shaped display cutout, a slightly better processor, and slightly better cameras. Yawn. I'll still trade in my iPhone 13 Pro Max for one, but it doesn't excite me.
Tell me you haven't used a Z Flip or Fold without telling me you haven't used one.Wobbly foldable screen is not innovation, it's a testiment to low standards.
Yep then 6 months later they go and copy Apple, like they have proved in the past 👌🏼🤣😂As usual, they focus on features that aren’t very important to me. And, honestly, people don’t need 108mp sensors in phones to display images in HD. And I can’t imagine being happy with any moon picture coming from a phone camera.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra right now. It has an edge to edge curved screen and that is one of the worst things about the phone. I literally can’t type on the damned thing because my hands keep touching the sides, resulting in mistyped characters. I have resorted to swiping instead of typing. It works well enough for me. And when you look at it, the light bends around the curve. Without a case on, it creates a weird glow. I will admit the edge to edge thing looks kind of cool but at least for my use, it causes problems. Some bezel will help to reduce accidental touches.I really dont understand theneedwant for smaller bezels. Its not like having a bezel that is 1mm thinner is gonna be some game changing thing.
It is clever and probably the people in Apple laugh and appreciate the shade. That’s why I said I think there’s some humor in there that flies over our heads.I personally thought the ad was witty. I didn’t think it was ridiculous at all, but that’s just my point of view. The ad comes off as if it’s hyping up the iPhone then trades little jabs here and there. It’s all just fun and games (imo).
