the history repeats itself with the MacBook Air Clone .... "the Ultrabook"!

they copy everything...
Unibody construction, keyboard, trackpad....
I feel ashamed for them and why I'm having to point out those things? ...it's sooooo evident.

and for saving a couple hundreds bucks , poeples grab those copy and smile thinking they made a smart move...

Check the all-in-one copy crap available ( trying to emulate the iMac)
Make your one stuff , your own idea and let the market decide (instead of judge in a courtroom)

And to back up the guy above me, Lenovo came out with a Windows ultrabook at the same time as the Air came out. Why? That's when the hardware was available. Just like capacitive touchscreens in phone size.

Samsung is just pathetic.I'm sure Apple wishes there was an alternative flash supplier as capable as Samsung.

really, you must not have looked at some of the crap asus, sony and others are putting out as all in one pc's. As for ultrabook, same thing, very lame copies of MB airs. They will continue to copy and will never compete with the Apple stuff.

Doesn't look the same as the iMac.

Doesn't look the same.

That's not copying, Ultrabook is a new market of laptops, All-in-Ones are a new market of computers. Just because another company makes those two, doesn't mean they're copying, they're just competing.

Yeah you're right... The unibody construction, the shape, keyboard, the trackpad all happen to be just a coincidence....

I can't quite figure out how someone can deny the fact that laptops like the Asus (screenshot above) is a direct copy of the MBA. You would have to be blind not to see. How many laptops were there in the current MBA wedge shape before the 2010 MBA came out?

----------

Shape of a laptop? Keyboard? Trackpad? You just described a basic laptop.

The Asus is a direct copy. The shape of the MBA is quite unique in comparison to any laptops before it came out in 2010. Are you blind or have convinced yourself that you can't see it?

No one copied anyone over anything. All-In-Ones have been around for years and years in some shape, form, or fashion. The only difference now is they're being crammed in behind an LCD instead of stuffed in alongside a bulky CRTs. Since there are only so many ways you can design one, they're all gonna look similar by necessity.

And those ultrabooks copying the Airs? How? PC manufacturers were making small, thin computers long before the Air showed up. Just because Apple managed to jump ahead and make one thinner than the rest doesn't automatically give them the exclusive right to thin from here on out. If Asus were to come out with a computer that's 1.5mm thin, would you bitch about Apple copying Asus when they eventually come out with a similar model in the Air series?

And just like the all-in-one PCs, they're all gonna look similar since there are only so many ways you can design a laptop. Specially a small one.

Admittedly, yeah. It does. That tapered design does seem to take more than a few nods towards the air. But..eh...it's more rounded in the back. I dunno. Hell if I care.

Also, it has a higher resolution screen.

No it's not, the grey is darker, the keyboard isn't black. Only thing they both have in common is that they're thin.

Also, the wedge shape design was done by Sony x505...8 years ago. the x505 was the original super skinny laptop made from carbon fiber. nobody has yet to make one like the x505.

It was also the first with a chicklet keyboard:

I'll give you that, if you give me that Apple copied the use of Intel chips from all the PC makers. Dirty rotten thieves should have come up with their own ideas! ;)

WTF Samsung? WHY do you want iPhone 4S source code? Why the hell do you want Ive? You ****ing copied Apple. Its MORE than PAINFULLY OBVIOUS!

Grow up, and innovate. Stop stealing and copying.

I just don't get comments like these. Both parties agree that it's samsung technology in the iphone. The question is whether it is licensed.

So why are you acusing Samsung of stealing and copying when its their technology?

What make me thing Samsung is just stealing others Idea

What make me thing Samsung is just stealing others Idea????

It seems a bit silly that Qualcomm manufactured the chip but the licence that they pay would not mean that the purchaser of the chip was not licensed. But if that is the case and Apple didn't want to pay the same amount as other manufacturers well I hope Samsung wins, although it seems rather obvious that this wouldn't fly in court and more believable that Samsung tried to charge Apple more for the patents.

sony is dead, 4 years in a row losing money, nobody buys their ***** anymore

Interesting. I consider myself educated.

Steve invented the wheel too. Anything any company makes, Apple made it first. Even if they didn't.
