Well by your own argument that is exactly what Samsung is doing so I repeat the question are you ok with Apple doing it?
Yes...I am....and I'm ok with Samsung doing it too....You're still suggesting that protecting your patents and IP is insane?

Bad bulging capacitors?![]()
Lawsuits are how you find out if the Apple IP is valid. Further, are you claiming to know that all of Samsung's lawsuits are baseless, and they have no valid IP to defendMost, if not all, of the IP at the core of the Apple lawsuits is ridiculous?
I am _not_ taking sides, after all I have nothing to lose either way.
That said, to all of you who are so sure that Samsung is a bunch of uneducated losers, you are in for a rude awakening. You obviously have no clue about big international business.
This will be a huge eye opener for you, if you have the courage to accept the facts. It will also be a great learning opportunity.
If you can surpress your burning desire to employ selective reading, you will see it from a different perspective.
To use a phrase from the skater boys... "just sayin"![]()
All the lawyers in the world cannot save Samsung from their piece of crap plasticky phones.
where did I claim that? Musta been my evil twin brother.![]()

hot spare said:You just did
LOL...WTH. Samsung's legal strategy is pretty funny.
In the legal environment, it's known as a joke.
Protecting granted patents and IP is insane? Oh wait, this is the "it's not right to be a bully" argument right?

My 5 posts in this thread. I think you may need a new prescription for your coke-bottles.
This is what happens when you respond to a question that was directed to someone else.
Actually... I love their TV's... IMHO, some of the best ones out there and easiest to use. It's the one area Samsung really does well.
My experience was terrible. I had a model with a stuttering problem and they kept mailing me firmware updates, which I had to load via USB. After doing this a few times (to no avail) I returned it.
What's the hate with Samsung?Apple is the one that started it.
Two main components go into a patent plaintiff's case: infringement and damages. In order to prove an alleged patent infringement, it's pretty clear Samsung will need to see the relevant parts of Apple's code, just as Apple will need to examine the relevant parts of Android for its case
...
And Samsung's second request to secure the agreements between Apple and the Australian carriers seems reasonable as well it can make a strong argument that it needs the telco's iPhone-related revenue and share data in order to calculate any potential damages Apple may have to pay.
Same apply with Android (A.Rubbin and Eric S.) who once work at Apple/seat on the board and fly to Google and launching their OS....
I rather give my money to an American Company....
Indirectly bolstering the likes of Samsung, LG, Sony, Foxconn, ARM Holdings, Nokia and others.
This obsession with supporting "American" companies really is a vain prospect but I do see it banded about here. It's as if supporting non American companies is somehow inherantly evil.
Any reasons why American companies are better than others?
samsung sucks, who in the hell would want one of those cheap plastic toy-like phones that run that donkeyed up os??
it's crap

Plastic is better than glass because it makes phones lighter and more durable.
samsung phones are garbage, yes they are light and feel very cheap

ehhhhh Former Palm CEO(John Rubinstein) was Apple employee...
If Apple a stolen some patented idea from Palm... i didn't heard much about it...
Anyways...before iPhone, the cell world was pretty lame to my eye.... After iPhone the landscape have changed dramatically.
I think that those 3 should receive "tip of the hat"
1-Apple
2-Nokia
3- Microsoft for making their own iteration of a OS ans smartphone
Google and Tawainees/korean manufacturer are very different in that respect...
Mmm, so, you're saying that Apple will steal from Palm because they have hired some high level engineers to work in iOS?
Do you know that was Apple who called Schmidt to the Apple board a year after Google acquired Android, don't you?
Samsung and their lies are not going to get my money.... Not for smartphones nor for my new tv set (planning to buy this November) no!
Samsung.... What have you done so great lately? Yeah just Ripping off others idea!
Just as soon as you give us the sourcecode for your supposedly open source Android 3.0 and 4.0.
KTHXBAI.
Yeah. I think I'm going to support Japan and buy a Sony instead. It actually kinda pisses me off I already own two samsung plasmas lol.
