The part that will hurt is for Apple is...

Apple - $3,499
Samsung - $1,899? And likely to have better specs.
Samsung have been a bit misleading with the price and said it will cost between $1800 - $3000 that's a hell of a range, and every jumped to the $1800 number because it makes Apple look bad. We'll see in 24hrs I guess but my money is on the higher end. Samsung sell folding phones for $2000, this isn't going to be a cheap product.

Can you imagine if Apple said they were releasing a new phone costing between $200 and $1400. 😅

Well said, and I agree 100%.

This has a higher resolution display compared to Vision Pro, the new m5 should of had a higher resolution display to complete
It's the same resolution as the play for dream with the same snapdragon processor u wont notice a difference the Snapdragon processor holds it back

They copied the Air. Surely they know the Vision Pro is not a seller. Unless they bring something good.

Specs don’t tell the entire story

”Better” specs does not mean the experience will be better than the AVP…Apple has proven time and again that software/hardware integration is far more important than numbers on a label

I also very much doubt it will have better specs. It certainly won't have better chips(s), and the AVP screens are already the best that can be made with current technology.

It’s interesting how much things have flipped here.

Apple products historically had perhaps lesser specs, but were a better overall product offering and now we have people defending the Vision Pro for being a worse actual product offering, but “it has better specs!”

Specs don’t make the product.

But then it’s a crap device that doesn’t make profit. Meta. We’re definitely not at that point. Competition will help. Everyone should be praising this.
The meta quest is a decent product for the price. For all its specs nobody is paying 4K for something people don’t even know what to do with yet. The quest is a gaming device which provides a fun experience and the price is something that people will pay as an indulgence.

I can't wait for the new Samsung ads

Of all the things to release it's a DOA product Apple couldn't convince people to buy. These companies need to focus on something else besides goofy ass wearables. Some slick sunglasses with tech, sure, but these are pointless.
Maybe, but: 1. if it was really DOA then why would Samsung invest in the same technology? and 2. research and innovation is often used elsewhere and the ROI is recouped long term in other ways.
