Agreed, there isn't much substance to what they wrote. The Galaxy Fold isn't meant to be sold by volume. It's supposed to be in very limited quantities and is a first-gen piece of tech.
It's funny, he doesn't understand that His Love for Apple IS NOT AN ARGUMENT.
He keeps talking about a supposed future(which he himself doesn't know) and trying to invent excuses for apple that don't have anything to do with the current realities because there's no logical way justify the present. Apple itself didn't try to go this far and went with an argument that makes at least a wisp of sense: Courage.
Galaxy Fold is Samsung's attempt to establish a new category. They did it before with the Note(when they were patronized for years by Apple loyalists) and to me it looks like they are taking similar steps with the Fold, I don't know if they will succeed but the chances are not against them.

you get the notification to either update or postpone.. you can get that message maybe 5 times then it auto updates
If you go into developer options you can deactivate Automatic Updates on Any Android Phone.

I have a Huawei P20 Pro and updated to Pie late January. Explain to me what disadvantage I experienced waiting 4 or 5 months after Google initially released Pie. I'm intrigued :)
Yeah I have Android P update pending on one of my phones and I'm in no rush to hit the update button.
Android 8.1 doesn't even feel outdated at all in comparison to 9.0, on a phone running stock Android.

I don't understand this rush to get the update as soon as Google releases it.

So you’ll have to wait 8 months at least after android Q releases later this year in order for Samsung S10 to get an update, NO THANKS!
Why does it matter? What fantastic new feature are you likely to be missing out on? There's very little that's truly new in the world of smartphones these days.

It's not as if your phone is suddenly going to stop working.

I LOVE the fact the fingerprint sensor is built-in to the screen on the S10, but I just can't buy a phone with a notch. Cutting a hole in the screen for a camera to poke through is such a brutal solution.

If they're happy to put the camera in the screen, why didn't they just install the old fingerprint sensor in the screen too?

Oh please. When Xiaomi can sell an SD855 phone for €450, Samsung’s prices is at Apple’s level.

Did you not even read what he said?

A 512GB plus is £150 cheaper than the max at 256GB and the 128GB you know what comes as standard is £200 cheaper than the max at 64GB

That’s not apple prices

Nobody charges apple prices their prices are in a league of their own

So no the prices aren’t near apples

my new Samsung S10 with 128Gb of storage on pre order: €620
my iPhone Xs with 64Gb storage on pre order: €1159

that's a difference of about €500 for both being flagship phones during pre order time.

yeah, Samsung's prices are indeed at Apple's level

God damn, that’s embarrassing difference certainly given the S10 can do far more

Haha please. The listed price of the S10 is €899. Even the S10e is €749.
If we want to calculate promos, sales, trade ins, etc, then anything is fair game. I can just claim any phone is free for me since somebody else bought it and gave me. :p

I dont care what the listing prices are. The fact is that with Samsung you can get some really good discounts and/or freebies, this is even during the pre order time (which I already sold for €100).
You know...discounts and freebies, somethings Apple will NEVER give with their flagship phones during pre order time.

So yeah, your earlier statement is just simply 100% false.

edit: okay, Apple is giving you one freebie with their $1000+ phone; a 5W charger. :p

Comments like these humor me ALWAYS! As an iPhone user myself I have to ask what security risk are there associated with Google/Android platform? Celebrities iCloud get hacked into daily and their private pics are plastered all over the net. FaceTime just had a very intrusive flaw exposed recently. Just say you don't like Android and it will be more respected.
Well, over at Ars Technica, it seems that every now and then, articles surface reporting of some newly discovered security flaw with android, or how more apps have been found spying on users or otherwise doing fishy things with the users' data.

A quick search easily turns up a plethora of them, so we haven't exactly seen any fallout as a result of this, and after seeing so many of them, I guess I have also become numb to them. Sorta like a "cry wolf" scenario.

This obviously goes both ways, but it seems like those who prefer Android want the iOS users to see there side of things and keep an open mind to the Android platform, which we obviously should. At the same time, the tone from that end doesn't seem to be respectful of the same things to those who prefer iOS. Again, it definitely happens on both ends and it just doesn't make sense to me. I wish we, as a community, could move past that type of attitude (on both ends), and understand that it's just a preference and everyone has their own reasons for choosing either platform. There is no wrong choice here, because it's an individual decision. I have typically joined in on this sort of thing, but the forum has become pretty terrible as of late in this regard. Instead of looking at the tech with open eyes and being respectful of those who see it differently, it just results in constant arguing back and forth. It's tiring and makes me think that maybe this isn't the forum for me anymore, unfortunately.

It's getting late here, and this random thought popped into my head.

It's better to be hated than ignored.

My observation is that android users seem to hate iOS users with a passion. Or maybe they just hate Apple as a company, and the feelings trickle down to apple product users by extension.

Conversely, I really couldn't care less about Android. I don't hate android, I guess I am simply indifferent towards it. Their platform's their business.

To me, Android may as well not exist. For Samsung phone users, they seem to exist just to beat Apple.

I wonder which is worse.

Same here. There is a pointless war happening, people eat bleached foods, governments and corporations mistreatment people, haarp is making a mess in the world, chemtrails, boys forced to wear skirt at schools... you name it. And all people seem to be going on about, is, that somebody’s smartphone or OS has got more features.
What a strange world.
