Sucks for those of us who want the latest features in a smaller phone (that can easily be used with one hand). Give us the 4.7 screen in a smaller than iPhone 6/6s/7/8 package.
That's where the SE2 will likely come in.

Does that mean even at 6.5 it is not going to be wider than the regular X? I wish for the X Plus to be basically the dimension of the 8 Plus just without a bezel. I didn’t go for the X cuz it is too narrow. I cannot deal with that iPhone 6 keyboard

So from what I gather, 6.1" model will have:
  • LCD with thicker bezels than iPhone X
  • No 3D Touch (seems unlikely to me since iPhone 8 has it)
  • Single camera lens
  • Priced at $699 or $799 (I am guessing it will be $699 to match iPhone 8 especially since it has only single camera lens)

That's where the SE2 will likely come in.
Hoping also for an SE Mark 2.
But sized for one hand use, 4-in diagonal. not larger.
[I love my current SE form-factor, as is.]

Most likely any hope for a 2nd. generation SE, is just that, now -- a fool's hope.
The SE line is probably a goner and will be deprecated, silently, the new-Apple way.

Apple needs to get rid of that hideous notch already.

They won’t. Its here to stay for the time being. It serves its purpose, even if you don’t like it. If Anything, it might be minimalized or reduced, but I would suspect it’s going to be here for another two years until they can
Possibly implement the hardware under the display.

The SE will likely be internally updated with an A10, better cameras, and newer Touch ID. It will likely look exactly the same. Apple will maintain the same price, or even lower it. A small new, 5 inch display iPhone X SE is a beautiful dream, but that is likely all it is. I personally believe Apple would sell tons of these at $649.

I can't imagine it getting an A10, at minimum an A11 maybe even the new A12.

This lineup still makes no sense to me. With the iPhone X Apple found that people still want a reasonably sized phone, yet now they are going to make the "default" cheap size bigger than the X? Having a larger model to upgrade to makes sense, but having the base model be a huge phone doesn't make sense to me. The only way this works is if they update the SE to be something on the cheap/small side of the spectrum.

I guess I'll be getting the 6.1" iPhone this year. I just wish it were smaller than the X.

The new Xiaomi Mi 8 SE @ $280+ is the new benchmark in mobile, and will very-likely completely Dominate WW smartphone sales later this year !

It is a potential Game Changer !

It will soon become avail in the States !
No one cares. It runs Android and is a cheap knockoff. You know why you're paying $280? You are the product with Xiaomi.

Well i guess i will be skipping this time around. I did upgrade from 6 to the X. But there is nothing here to pique my interest. I'll hold on to my X.

I can’t wait to see the new BlackBerry next week! Here’s hoping the Key2 wins my heart!

I dont get why the cheap one is bigger?
It likely doesn’t have an OLED display, with an aluminium frame... That info is all over Macrumors.

Yea, but regular people won't understand that. For them a bigger size means better, so I'm just curious as how Apple will spin the marketing on this to the general public.

Onleaks leaked the supposed SE2 a few weeks back, and it has the same dimensions at the SE. But just without the bezels and fingerprint, it sports a notch.

But the SE2 rumours we'll have to wait and see

For those who wants face id and touch id, maybe you better get Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer edition.
They got both of them, plus 8GB ram, bigger battery, AMOLED screen, animoji, same gesture control and much cheaper price

It won't have 3D Touch hardware, but it will implemented via software. That will allow Apple to further differentiate the premium models.

Rendering of 6.1-inch iPhone next to 6.5-inch iPhone
That more looks like the 5.8-inch OLED iPhone next to the upcoming 6.5-inch model.
