Same, my guy. Have to sell it at 10-15 percent loss. I will wait and see a few months to see whether Pro or Max has the less percentage of bad screens and test my luck. I am one Apple Watch sale away from going to Samsung lol

Advertised : 3000 nits peak brightness and 1000 nits manual brightness on the 17 Pro
So does that mean 2500 and 800 respectively on the LG Screens? 💀
Actually the perfect screen I had before this one was a LG. So I wouldn't rule it out just because its LG. Check my previous posts. LG was uniform bright and even.

There is another thing that has come true: BOE is now also part of the LTPO supply for Pro models. For now, it's said to be just for China, but I wonder if that will change in the near future if the performance continues to meet Apple's requirements.

What do you have now
My GH3 is bad off axis and has a greenish yellow tint. Tint is not noticable but the off axis brightness dip is hard to look at

Samsung now! I moved away from the black pro max to the white one because the paint on the black one was chipping even if I looked at it wrong.

Found this Korean article from July 2025 that LG might leave the Pros untouched (Copium?)

G9N 17 PM with pink tint in top left corner, very visible in person and photo is somewhat representative.

IMG_0371.jpeg

LG GVC 17 PM again with the significant green tinting at the bottom of the display on tilting, brightness is greater at the bottom edge even straight on. Identical to 16 PM

iPhone Air: severe green tint at the bottom on slight tilt, I knew it was probably an LG screen without even running analytics

So expect more of the same this year. 17 Pros seemed ok from what I could tell but I didn’t focus on them too much.

Same old... if visible in person, ppl need to return these junk products and try again until they are content.

As expected. Same M14 panels, but "unlocked" to it's full potential via voltage/software.

if you try the AssistiveTouch and Analytics method, the output text in IoReg is a little different so you have to search the word “panel” and it should be the fifth entry

Can someone remind me of the process to get that ioreg diagnostics on the computer?

...Dont you have to enter recovery mode / series of buttons or something?

Would be good to know for science and others.

Well, here we go again! Here's my 17PM the panel is LG GH3. Slight blue / green shift when tilting the phone vertically but not bad at all compared to bad ones I went through last year. Screen is nice and uniform even when enabling night shift to max. So this one is a keeper on the 1st try, finally. Don't get down if you get an LG screen, they are not all bad and if this year is similar to last year, likely more uniform than Samsung panels. Good luck everyone!

Looks great
Better just not check what the panel is if the screen looks good on its own🙂

In the name of OCD

How is the brightness? Can you notice the 3000 nits? :D What about brightness differences across the panels like with 16 Pro/Max?
