Launch failure...

I keep reading reports and hear stories from people who have to wait, for up to 10-12 weeks, to even get a new iPhone 4... after the wait for weeks of the official launch, and yet every single store employee has one already – suggesting that the initial product batch went to the wrong people.

So why did Apple launch in 17 additional countries at once, when there simply is no stock – at least not enough – to support a large number of (new) iPhone users?

That's not exactly the launch people anticipated. Me neither as stock holder. Not from Apple.

Optus on Backorder

It seems Optus has already run out of IPhone 4 and it is listed as on backorder on their website

Sheesh.

I didn't even bother going out super early for this one. I knew that if I got to a Rogers store their computers would have crashed (which they did), and they give 7 units to a store with 150 people waiting outside. It's very, very cruel.

So now there are 22 countries out there foaming out the mouth waiting to receive units.

Apple have a license to print money now with the iPad and iPhone 4. Good for them! Stockholders will be pleased and it's getting people going into the carrier's stores way more.

I'll bide my time for a couple of weeks methinks (as I wipe the cold sweat from my brow).

So what about South Korea. Is Steve Jobs or South Korean govt lying?
It could be that on average countries require 10 sheets of paper in application form while South Korea requires 100. Delay is due to Apple preparing all additional papers. So Apple attributes the delay to the government bureaucracy. But the bureaucrats say Apple hasn't even applied yet.

All above is just my pure speculation based on my own wisdom etc :D
