that will haopen when they release a 17" iPad 😍😂
I would really like a 15” iPad Pro. I mostly use mine as a second screen on the desk so I don’t need it to be that portable. Some apps are just so much easier to use on the touchscreen and I don’t see Apple making a touchscreen MacBook so a larger iPad is the only option.

Comments from people who don't even own one or have seen one in person, going off over exposed and blown out photos and videos online, comments in 3 2 1...

No chance i'm returning mine, this screen is a MASSIVE improvement over the previous generations, deep blacks match oled and the extra contrast is very noticeable. 😋👌
What practical benefits does the new screen have? I am contemplating upgrading my 2018 12.9” iPad Pro but the price is putting me off.

The blooming brigade will go mad on this
It really looks terrible in that one shot, it would bug the hell out of me. I've got an OLED tv that I love but it does have issues with burn in, image retention, and OLED degradation after only about 3 years. Micro LED seems like it would be a great replacement, maybe just increasing the number of emitters would be enough to smooth out the bloom effect. Unfortunately user interfaces will brutally expose bloom effects because there's lots of super high contrast elements all over the screen quite often.

Recommend buying directly from apple, as you have 14d return policy for change of mind, I upgraded from a 12.9” 3rd gen, straight off the bat, loving and noticing the extra contrast and oled like deep blacks.

Looked very nice in store, but as soon as I got home, being in a less busy environment and under natural lighting, boy oh boy oh boy oh boy, the screen is drop dead, drool worthy, unputdownable gorgeous, all level of sexiness going on with this mini led display.

Might of carried on a little to much towards the end there. 🤔🙄😂

I just posted in another thread that blooming is subjective. Just like others are bothered by PWM backlight control and others arent. My wife can't tell the difference in blooming between our FALD Samsung Q90 vs. our LG OLED while it really bothers me....

Okay so stupid question: do you get better battery life when using dark mode? Or does that still only apply to OLED?
Not stupid at all. I would "assume" that if more of the screen is dark (whether via display preferences, content, or whatever), less of the mini LEDs are lit to backlight the screen, so less energy is consumed.

I‘m sure the 2021 has a beautiful screen but so does my 2020 IPP, and unless you’re comparing them side by side most people wouldn’t notice. Apple needs to put as much attention into ipad OS as they’ve done with the hardware.

Hardly any at all unless you watch a lot of movies on it. Otherwise the older ones work the same.

That’s the same significant difference between OLED and LCD..yet I’ve seen some people here claiming they can’t see the difference between liquid retina (fancy name for LCD) and OLED 😁
I can see there is a significant difference too. i don't understand there are people who claim that both screen look the same.. the deep black in ipp 12.9" is amazing especially watching HDR movie.

All this power for what, nothing, ipad os is colossally held back, can’t even get the devices to recognize my itunes content on an SD card(I’m talking itunes purchased content). I get it you can download it all them on the device but my personal preference is to have all 700gb of personal media on my device backed up To the cloud for easier organizing but still, lets hope something changes at WDCC because at this rate they cost more than MacBooks for “tablet” thaT wants to work as an oversized iphone.
