Just checked this morning. "October" still. Maybe something will change on Oct 1.

People, starting Oct 1st Tuesday, China has a national holiday, it ends on the 7th, if you don't get a ship notice Monday. (Today in China, I'm in the USA) You will not get one this week. This is why all the ship notices on Apple have said October 7-10 or October 8-11 at the earliest.

My gold 16gb AT&T is still October. Nothing has changed, I ordered @8:45am EDT the 20th.

I ordered 23rd, was away on the 20th so didn't have internet access.

Mine says October (64 gig space grey) but it doesn't say which year... ;)

Ordered 16GB Gold @ 3:06AM EST ATT from Apple.com

Still sitting here with my thumb in my ass.

Does all of China shut down for this holiday? You would think that the manufacturing facilities would be working overtime no matter what to get these units out the door as quickly as possible.

I am also in the OCt range with my 64GB Gold AT&T model. The suspense kills though. With no firm date pegged, I imagine that it will be end of Oct with the possibility of Nov. I guess the Gold anodizing process must be more difficult to achieve then traditional silver/black/grey

Mine still says "Processing" up to now. :(

On the other thread, the October 8-11 group have their "Preparing for Shipment" changed to "Shipped".

From what I am reading, some will work, but most will not. They most definitely will not be churning out 237,000 phones per day. I'm guessing though, nothing will ship out this week though.

Looks like Apple is still filling the first 15min of orders though. I imagine my 8:45am EDT order is gonna be quite a while. As it's taken 10 days to fill the first 7-8 min worth of orders.

Just a thought, but why didnt they say the release day was a date in November and just produce more units?

I bet that they then don't have a chance to overproduce the 5s. They fill orders and make a few for future purchases. Easy way to control the stock of 2 different models and not sit on a ton of units for both phones.

I have a question. I ordered through apple store and also have the October date and am processing. If I happen to find a phone in an apple store in the meantime, will apple be able to transfer that phone to my upgrade and cancel my order? It's on AT&T and its the $200 upgrade price.

I had an "October" order for 16GB Silver and found one at my local Apple store Saturday. I cancelled the order in the store by using one of their iMac's. I then got on my iPhone and checked that lines upgrade availability and it took less than 5 minutes for it to become available again.

Gold AT&T 32gb ordered late (7:47am PST on 9/20)

Just another data point for those who missed the first few hours of launch:

Phone: Gold AT&T 32gb
Order date/time: 7:47am PST (confirmation email) on 9/20 on Apple.com
Available to ship: October
Current status: "Processing items..."

Can't help but check these forums daily hoping to see some of the "late" orders change status, but I'm afraid that won't happen for gold 32's until next week. :(

While ordering it had said delivery from oct 8th-11th. At the end it changed to October.

I ordered, and got confirmation at 3:31AM EST, iphone 32gb champagne, AT&T. I live in Florida.

Still processing.

Bummer. I ordered mine on 9/22 and still got december. I can imagine how late I'd be getting it.

Just my opinion but, "October" people will not see shipped until the week of the 14th at the earliest.

Did I just read "December"? Even if you order this late from Apple.com, it will still say "October".

This is probably right..

Looks like just about everyone who was in the 7-10 day group has changed from Processing to Shipping within the last few hours, so who knows. I'm still betting we're looking at another two weeks, but at least it's promising knowing that we're presumably next in line.

Usually Apple under-promises and over-delivers, but we'll see. I'm watching the 7-10 business day thread because if Apple *does* meet that timeframe for those people, they will have had to fulfilled all those orders by the end of this week (either the 4th or the 7th). In which case, those first to get the "October" timeframe might start to see some movement on their orders starting sometime next week.

But you may well be right-- it seems like they're still fulfilling those orders placed in the first 10 minutes of launch day in the US, and the timeframe didn't slip to "October" until about 12:28 or so.

I will continue to torture myself by compulsively checking these forums for the status of orders ahead of mine. :D

Yeah but someone on the shipped thread said they ordered at 3:01 est and just today switched to shipped. That is rediculous. It's been 10 days and we are only 1 minute into the process for some gold models.

So, October 14th at this point is a very aggressive estimate
