Sept 20th orders with October ship date, Apple.com buyers. [MERGED]

I think it's anyone's guess at this point. People who ordered even an hour after the store went back online got put into the october group, so if the people with a 7-10 day estimate have started to ship, it could be very possible october people start to ship very soon. They have to be making thousands upon thousands of iPhones per day, so who knows where they're going and when.
Who knows how they decide what order to fulfill in-- latest I've seen is a 3:16am confirmation that's shipped.
I wonder about those expedited shipping.
I think that was the one I chose . But I can't remember .
I had chosen the same. However, I'm not that convinced that my extra $10 would save me a couple of days so that my phone arrives earlier. I feel hopeless really..lol!

I'm not convinced expedited shipping does anything to be honest. It definitely doesn't get it out of the factory faster.
Seems like carriers were best way to order for those who missed the initial 15 minutes orders opened.
I ordered from Verizon online at 345-4am eastern time and got 2 of the 3 phones. One silver 32gb and one gold 32gb. The other gold will ship October 14.
My friend ordered from att online at 8am eastern time and already got his 2 gold 32gb.
And my only order from apple.com
Directly for 32gb gold att at 403am says ships in October. If I would have ordered from att.com would have had gold 32gb already like my friend who ordered at 8am.

I ordered from T-Mobile @ 8:24am EST 9/20/13 and I didn't receive anything yet BTW i bought an 16GB & 32GB both gold.
Been processing since the 22nd. Will be the 10th day tomorrow. Hopefully I may see a change, although I'm not gonna hold my breath.
Wow, I mean I was contemplating whether to order off of apple.com or att.com,
I chose apple because I thought since they're the main producer, they would send out the iPhone faster.

I did the same thing (chose Apple because I figured it would ship faster and wasn't certain of how many phones carriers would get given the pre-launch news saying supplies at carriers would be "severely restricted"). Apparently AT&T was well stocked to handle the gold phone orders even later in launch day.
Seems ridiculous to me that Apple can't handle the order volume, but AT&T can.

Wow. Way to bum me out lol I've been saving up for a new phone, sept. 21 was my bday. Now we'll probably getting our stuff late october...-.-
I'd hunt for the phone at stores, but I think it's too late for that? Especially gold 32gb.
This is really a mess lol.
I think the issue this week is not many phones will be made due to the national holiday in China. Nothing should ship until next week, and next week phones start to be made again. I'm sure they shipped out everything they had just before the holiday. This week should bring a lot of complaining as the Apple.com people most likely will see no movement, but carrier orders may see movement as Apple sent them some stock.
I never thought about the October date being because of the China Holiday.
Still, I can't believe that Apple would suspend production. Is the Chinese government able to force them to suspend?
