Most likely over the weekend, sigh. It might get shipped, but stuck in China until Monday.
people keep posting images of their phone been shipped, but that's no help for us that are waiting for ours, unless you tell us your order day/time/timezone and model.

Finally got mine today! I posted the pre-sign for delivery, but they could not get into my apartment building. Took a car service to the facility, I was the 3rd person called. I only had a passport, not a valid government ID with my address, so I just had to bring a bill. The Gold was TOTALLY worth the wait. Just for those still waiting, I got a 64GB, Gold, Verizon. I ordered it 9/20 at 9:16AM.

Very nice! I need at least the email "Preparing to ship".
Still Processing Order, ordered 8AM on Sept 20 EST (5 hours after orders opened, mostly due to AT&T not making the grandfathered data plan clear).
I know it will arrive in due course, but it has missed the big deal of my going on the vacation of a lifetime next week, where I really had been pinning hopes on the new camera. It is not the end of the world, but pretty much takes the joy out of my purchase. Would happily have switched colors away from gold to have the phone for the trip, but that was never an option.
On the bright side, Apple helpfully let me cancel the expedited delivery so that there may still be a couple of days of the 14-day return window left when I actually return and find the phone delivered (assuming the 24-28Oct ship date holds). No hint of an apology, free case, or any other compensation of course, and Apple Care has been pending on the credit card for over a week now.
Glad everyone else is finally getting their phones now, it gives me confidence mine will be waiting for me when I return - but the main point of the upgrade for me has been lost
(and local Apple store is still queuing up from the night before, and selling out to that queue within 20 minutes of stock arriving each morning - so no fall-back plan of local availability here. Woe is me and my first world problems)
Would love to know how folks ordering days after me seem to be getting their phones first. Are all the shipping 64Gb gold phone non-AT&T models?

Well everyone, it has been an amazing four weeks. Looking back at the people I conversed with at the beginning of the wait, it has almost been a complete turnover.
I want to thank you all for being such good sports and putting up with me, I have thoroughly enjoyed conversing with each and everyone of you. I was not the thread starter (even if it may have looked like it), so a heartfelt thank you, to you! Even though I won't be posting actively, I'm still going to be on the lookout for everyone else. I hope you all keep this thread alive, and thriving until the last of us "launch day/weekend" group get our phones.
A small review of my phone: there are no cosmetic defects, gyro/compass seems to be fine, touch id is ridiculously responsive, but the level feature may be a little suspect.
To all of you still waiting: the gold is magnificent. It is truly a sight to behold, and definitely worth the wait. It is the best colour by far, in terms of the three. You have waited this long, so do not waiver now. Keep your chins up, it won't be much longer. You will not regret this... once it arrives, all the pain will melt away!
