Interpret it how you will... regardless I would still go with UPS. Sure they never updated you, but many others were advised of changes. I think it was just pure coincidence that in your case Apple quoted 18th, and it showed up then. If Apple was 100% precise, mine would still be floating somewhere in the UPS system. Apple quoted me the 23rd.
By the way, how are you finding the phone?
Day 30 of processing. My case arrived today. The only thing that is keeping me sane is knowing the end of this dreadful wait is coming soon. Delivery date of Nov 1.
I actually agree with you that the UPS quote is more precise. I think that the apple quote is more like the last day you should get it. That being said, I don't have enough confidence in UPS to tell people that their statuses will be updated. Once burned ...
I LOVE the phone, it's amazing! The fingerprint sensor is spoiling me. Every time I touch the button of my iPad I expect it to unlock, and wonder why it hasn't.
I haven't had any of the issues that some people have had ... no freezing, re-springs, or BSOD. Everything is working perfectly. And of course the phone is gorgeous. I saw your review and assume you continue to enjoy yours as well?

I can definitely agree on the fingerprint sensor. It's absolutely perfect, and I wish my iPad had the function as well (gotta start saving up for one with the Touch ID
). I must be the weird exception, when I say that from time to time I have to remember that my phone has the fingerprint sensor. I'm so used to waking it, then entering the password. Old habits die hard...

Yes. I'd be very surprised if the phones don't deliver by the 'delivers by' date on the order status page.
I seen people saying that their phone was shipped and delivered before Apple's estimates.

Definitely. When I had called Apple he told me he expected me to have it one to two days before the 'delivers by' date.
I'll have my fingers crossed. But would that mean the status will change in the Oct 24-28 timeframe, or will it change sooner?
China is 12 hours ahead of me (EST). So I'm hoping that I get an email 12 hours before the 25th, since it might ship on the 24th or hopefully even earlier.
