The ordeal is finally over. 
The UPS guy delivered my device at 6 PM last night. I am still setting it up. It IS a beauty !!! I'll have a short review later. Good luck to all that are still waiting !

27 hours later and my order still "preparing for shipping". Order gold iphone 5s 32 gig on 9/20 9:45am, thanks apple.
When did your status changed to "preparing for shipping" ?? and how long did it take to change to "shipped" ??
For my order it changes from processing to preparing shipment yesterday at 8:00am, then it went to " shipped" 12:47 AM.... Btw I ordered 2 Tmobile gold 5s 32gb...on OCT 1.
FYI: people who order more than 1 unit we get separate tracking numbers for each one we order..

It there any possibility that phone will ship sometime today? Many people like me order on launch day, and it's just ridiculous how long Apple takes to ship a phone.
I honestly feel like apples system is complete garbage. I ordered mine on the 6th of this month and it shipped today. For the people who ordered before me I'm terribly sorry. It shouldn't be that people who ordered on launch haven't shipped. To answer your question if it will ship today, very unlikely. It's almost 8PM in China.
All I really want is an explanation. Why has it taken, now, 36 days to ship a phone? I'm not mad, or anything like that. I just want to know "why". That's all. Why did billy bob get his phone before bill? Why were there a billion space grey phones? Why is gold so difficult. No one actually knows. Just opinions.

Ordered a 16GB Gold AT&T phone on October 1st and went to prep for ship yesterday to shipped today. I'm able to track it on the UPS website/app, but the shipping weight is 0.00 lbs. Am I getting an empty box?

Can somebody who receive their phone on expedite shipping confirm this? If you have expedite shipping, is there a possibility that the phone will ship today (Saturday 10/26 china time) ???

My order was 9/20 at 6PM EST. 64GB/ATT/Gold.
It just hit "preparing for shipping" yesterday, but has not shipped yet today.
I also ordered a new 13" macbook pro retina (build-to-order), and that shipped from china yesterday.
My phone is out for delivery today woohoo finally.

Hope everyone still waiting from launch day ships soon!! It's messed up that people who ordered after us got their phone sooner. My phone sat at preparing to ship from last fri - Tuesday. Once it shipped, it has moved quickly.

I just spoke to an Apple rep. She said she wasn't sure if the phone can ship on saturday from China. She said, that if you have preparing for shipment, its very likely to ship on Monday 10/28. It totally sucks!! i though i was going to have it sooner than Nov 1, but i guess not.
I also mentioned to her that there are a lot of pissed off people on the apple forums that order on launch day and haven't received their phones, and she said "I know, i talk to them all the time" LOL
I guess i will need to wait 1 more week. wth....

So went to preparing for shippment last night and shipped this morning about 2am! Can't wait til it's here! No delivery date by ups tho.
