Sept 20th orders with October ship date, Apple.com buyers. [MERGED]

Just another data point: I ordered a 32GB Gold AT&T @ 8AM EST 09/21. Then turned around and ordered a 16GB Gold AT&T for my wife @ 830AM EST 09/21.

The 16GB ordered @ 830AM 9/21 went from "Processing" to "Preparing to Ship" on 10/22, then went to "Shipped" on 10/25.

The 32GB ordered @ 800AM 9/21 went from "Processing" to "Preparing to Ship" on 10/24, and is still "Preparing to Ship" on 10/25.

I think the 16GB Gold phones are shipping ahead of the 32GB phones...
 
For my order I order it on OCT 1 not sure why my order shipped before people who order on the 20th? Maybe it has to do with carrier and configs? I ordered 2x 32gb gold Tmobile phones btw
 
If anyone can answer I would appreciate it. My phone right now is in zhengzhou. It had an origin scan,departure scan and then a arrival scan back in zhengzhou. well i get another departure scan today?

Mine is identical to yours, but status is still on time for delivery on 10/29.
 
I think I need to stop checking the UPS site every 5 minutes for update since nothing has changed since 11PM China time. Here's my updates so far.
ZhengZhou, China
10/25/2013 11:00 P.M. Arrival Scan
10/25/2013 10:15 P.M. Departure Scan
10/25/2013 7:00 P.M. Origin Scan
Estimated delivery: Oct 30. When do you think they'll be updates again? And is there a chance that it'll be delivered sooner than the estimated date, or is the UPS estimate usually accurate? (Final destination is Seattle WA)

Now I don't know for sure but I'm just thinking...we are in the same situation. It looks like the phones were somewhere else in China (maybe where it was manufactured/processed) and then departed there at 10:15 and went by UPS to Zhengzhou, China-which I believe is the airport-and that arrived at 11And there it has remained so far...It has to leave tomorrow sometime I would think to get to us on Tuesday??

Huh, weird, I have the exact same update as you on my order, yet my estimated delivery date is Oct 30.
Anyone knows if there's a chance I can be delivered sooner?

Lol what? If you are paying extra for expedited shipping, you will get it sooner than the free standard shipping. Why do you think each shipping option is more money than the next? Because you are paying to get it sooner.

It doesn't work that way . I hate to tell you that you wasted money paying for expedited shipping cause all phones are shipped the same exact way ;)

They are all shipped the same way. But for paying more, you get the phone SOONER. End of discussion.

Trying to read the tea leaves and divine Apple's manufacturing and shipping protocols on such limited, anecdotal, data is a complete waste of time. For example, I ordered a 16GB ATT Gold before you did and it is still "Preparing to Ship."
 
My phone just finished it USA tour at last, and now it is heading to me :D:D:DI should have it by Monday or Tuesday.:cool:

I ordered 32GB Gold AT&T on 9/21 @ 9:30 a.m and is still "Preparing to Ship" on 9/26.
 
Will there be shipping update on Saturday US time, or do we have to wait until Sunday (Monday in China) to get more updates?
