A few observations with Nike Run Club for AW2.

I have a SS AW2 not a Nike version, so results may vary.

If I run with my watch only, then sync to the app, I get no Nike Fuel, Splits, or Elevation
If I run with both and START a run with my watch, I get no Nike Fuel, Splits, or Elevation
If I run with both and START on the PHONE, I get EVERYTHING.

Just noticing the inconsistencies there. I don't expect elevation with the watch only, but the splits and fuel should be there.

Hoping this info is helpful and I think it'll be cleaned up in future updates.

Ive found runs synced to other services via rungap get Elevation. So those services must actually get the Elevation from the map data they already have, as opposed to the GPS data from the watch.

Also re syncing, if I sync to strava via rungap I get map data every time, well at least so far.

Runkeeper app updated. All that is mentioned is a new complication. Doesn't mention GPS at all :(

Pear was also updated. My free trial has now lapsed, and I can still use the watch app to record a run and then it will sync to Strava. Though the pear app experience is still pretty crappy compared to the slickness of the Nike experience, plus it doesn't do auto-pause, which is pretty much a dealbreaker for me.

Just to barge in real quickly; Am i correct that with AW2 you can now leave your iPhone at home, connect your bluetooth headphones to the watch and run (with GPS and HR tracking) and listen to your music(synced to the watch)?

I'm just waiting for Runkeeper to release the new wach app and than i'm going to buy my first AW (if the above is possible):D

Yes this is what I do at the moment.

I just hope that there will be a good Workout App with gps arrive to the Watch soon.

Runkeeper have still said they are working on the AW2 update, it will arrive just hope it soon !

Yes I sent a message to support today as I wanted to check it was still something that would happen given the latest update.
[doublepost=1478037258][/doublepost]Would suggest others do the same so at least they know there is demand for it

Thx, awesome to hear...another quick question: as long as RunKeeper isn't available could i just use the apple workout app and import the workout to RunKeeper (using RunGap) including all the data like pace, distance, HR, the map etc.?

Everything but the map. The map data doesn't get stored in health. You can use the Nike app and RunGap to export all including the map to Runkeeper.

Anyone having issues uploading from Nike to Run Gap or Smashrun today? My Nike run won't sync today for some reason.

I haven't been able to get run gap to pull the map from Nike yet. It gets everything else, but no map.

Strava posted this on their forum. I'm a bit disappointed it'll take so long because I like using Strava for mountain biking.

I had the same issue getting a run from Nike to Runkeeper, but I was able to get it to Strava. I would suggest if you want your run in Runkeeper, that you create a Strava account (if you don't already have one) then sync the run to Strava, and then use Tapiriik to sync the run to Runkeeper. Yes, messy, but will do the job until an official app comes along.

Yep, me too today. I did a resync from RunGap and all of the times now look strange .. basically +15 hours from Eastern time. I would bet the run I did today can be imported from Nike in about 15 hours.

I think Nike probably changed something that broke the sync. Just so everyone knows .. the sync used by RunGap and SmashRun is not officially supported by or endorsed by Nike. If Nike wanted the data to go elsewhere, they would have built an export functionality. They like Apple, want a closed system.

If you read RunGap's support blog, Nike has made changes in the past that resulted in a new version of RunGap needing to be released to fix the sync. That may be necessary again.

All just pure speculation on my part however .. something else may be going on.

EDIT ... My run from today finally synced from Nike to RunGap. Took about 3 hours though.

Well I've done a run and sync'd to Strava, so RunGap is still working.

What I've found is, after a run using AW and NRC, there is a definite delay before all the data is available. It was several minutes (as in enough time for a shower and still wasn't showing) before the data from the watch showed in the NRC app, and then considerably more before it was available on Nike's website for RunGap to be able to draw it down, though strangely it was available to view.

A right royal PIA.

Curious .. was your run today?

Agreed .. can't wait for Strava to release their app for the Series 2 (early 2017 apparently).

iSmoothRun is also working on a version that supports the Series 2 GPS.
