Been rocking these this week. Waiting on my dark olive and charcoal leather loop. I returned everything else.

I got the odsidian Nike band too and I’m gonna return it.

Might get a space black Milanese loop instead.

This imore article tells you where to get lug replacement kits from, and how to do it. So you can swap out those Steel ones for cool cool space black.

Have you tried replacing the lugs? Don’t wanna ruin a prefect Hermes band

I finally bit the bullet and ordered a white ceramic series 3.

I originally had a space black with Milanese loop series 3, but I had the same model for series 2 and i wanted a change.

Now I just have to wait 3-4 weeks for it to ship...

Use https://www.istocknow.com/ to notify you when your local Apple store get one in stock, it saved me a 5 week wait :)

So if you're in London, Birmingham, Paris or Munich you're laughing!

My replacement white is on the truck being delivered today. I'll run home at lunch and grab it and try to get it active on AT&T once again, and hopefully not fail miserably again. I have been w/o a watch all week and it makes me realise 1) I really do like having the Apple Watch on, and 2) the white ceramic was so nice looking, I made the right choice on the colour.

More bands to purchase once it arrives, I imagine.

Anyone put the "Fog" band alongside the White Ceramic watch? I'd love to see that photo if it exists. Thanks.

I dont have a picture as its at home but I put the fog with my white ceramic and it looks fantastic! Just a hint darker then the cloud band that series 2 came with! Excellent combo IMHO!

Cheers!

I ordered the Series 3 White Ceramic! This is my first AW purchase, pretty excited!

I have one question. I ordered the 38mm, but for those that own the 42mm, will a 38mm band fit it?
Just curious, kind of second guessing if the 38mm was the right choice or not, for me.

I have always owned a 42mm watch and always use the 38mm band. I like the bigger face watch, but need the smaller band size. The band fits perfect on the watch because it latches the exact same spot as the 42". The only thing that is different is the ends of the 38' will not go to the end of your watch. Only you will notice that. Here are two pictures of my watch so you can see what I am talking about.

No 42mm band is a different size.
It actually does fit, it attaches in the exact same spot as the 38mm. it just does not fill up the space like the 42mm. I wear the 38mm apple watch bands on my 42mm watch all the time to fit my small wrist.

It won't lock securely. There're 3 lock tabs on the bands. The 38mm band in a 42mm Watch will only lock the center tab. Aside from that it looks awful.

It actually does lock securely. You obviously haven’t put a 38mm and 42mm band in your hand and on a watch. The two bands lock in the exact same spot. They didn’t change that. They only extend the width of the band to make it bigger.
It looks awful to you and that’s your opinion and I really don’t care. I personally love it and many others too. I was giving this person the correct information they were asking for because it 100% does work, fit and lock securely. Also been verified with Apple in store.

To give you a better illustration of how it locks securely for both bands here is a photo. Everything is in the same place. Locks exactly the same. The 42mm (black band) is just a little bit wider

Let us know if it activates ok. Hopefully they have that sorted out.
They did sort it out. About 20 mins after the box arrived at the house, I got a call from Apple Executive Team to let me know, and another from AT&T to help me get it all activated. Was amazing level of support. However, even with this level of attention, the process was still a bit convoluted, likely because I had to activate this on a business line and not a personal one. But we got it working with no issues, and I am grateful to both Apple and AT&T for making sure it got done!

It doesn't fit, the lock tabs on the 42mm are slightly larger. Only the center tab will lock the two tabs on the side will be depressed at the corners. I have both sizes. Aside from that as you even state the 42mm is wider, therefore leaving a gap on both sides of the watch. Meaning it doesn't fit, it looks tacky. People don't tell you that because they probably don't want to hurt your feelings. But seriously it makes you look dumb & unobservant. Look at any watch even the cheapest ones you can find. They don't leave gaps between the band and the watch lugs. I'm not saying this to be mean, just trying to help ya out.

I actually think 38mm band does looks good on 42mm Watch face, some 42mm band are just too wide and made it look like cheap brand name watches, that’s my personal opinion.
Thanks for sharing this, I’ll now be able to keep all my 38mm bands for my 42mm Watch!

That level of service alone might be worth the price, sometime we work hard to earn more money just so we can save some trouble in time like this!

I don’t think you have to wait that long for shipping. I decided to return my Hermès to get another white ceramic. I ordered on 26th at night and it’s already preparing for shipment with credit card charged today 28th. The gray ceramic is still processing though.
