I had a SBSS which was great and now a SS which is also great, I like them equally, the SB was bomb proof and the SS is getting scratches on it but I kind of like that fact and am looking forward to a nice patina. I don't baby my watches, I am a drummer so they are constantly being knocked and scraped on gigs, also bike & run all year round plus open water swimming so down the beach covered in sand etc.

I have both S4 SS and S5 SBSS. Love them both. True the SS gets micro scratches immediately and "rubs" as well. I use my SS for workouts, runs, and most daily wear (has cellular active). Now that it has an overall micro scratched appearance it still looks great. AND, after a few mins with a Cape Cod cloth, I can have it looking out of the box again (but I don't bother--like knowing I can do it is enough).

And the SBSS is bomb proof--so I went with it for my S5.
I like SBSS with the Product Red sport band and the black sport band. All black looks like Darth Vader. That and the all white look with ceramic white and white sport band also looks amazing. I'm deciding between all space black or all ceramic white.

Just got the SS 44MM S5 and the Apple Link bracelet - couldn’t be happier with the it! The other band is a third party coffee coloured leather band :)

Here is my AW5, my first SS AW. I got the AW3 & 4 in SBSS. I liked it but given the minor upgrade eventhough AOD is really cool, i decided to go with the SS giving me the impression that I changed my watch. So far I love it and find more classy than the SBSS. The silver makes it look like a real watch.
I will see if the SS really get messed up with scratches but so far no scratches... I know for sure SBSS will do better on that side but I understood Cape Code is the savior.
I can still go back to SBSS next year ;-)

Got the SS S5, but damn, that gold SS with gold milanese looks so good. Debating if I should exchange it. The only thing holding me back are the straps I have that have the SS connectors.

I have the SS gold with the gold Milanese Loop, and I also love it.

Got mine today - ss 44mm with the pine green band, which goes really well. My wife now has my ss s3 - her first AW. She's excited, and it looks like a new watch - the SS is a no-brainer for me, I'm rough on these things and even managed to chip the sapphire on my original S0...

Currently lost in all the options on the bigger faces; my sole reason for upgrading was the always-on face. I'm a coach and facilitator, and need to keep track of time in client sessions, but never mastered the art of tapping the screen discreetly to turn it on without attracting attention.

Thr AOD now makes the space black look like a real watch more now. That used to be one of the points in favor of theSS but if you like the black then this was the year to get it and feel like it actually looked like something other than a black slab lol

Of course!

I can’t vouch for the quality of the strap (it does say “genuine leather”, but not 100% sure) - but it has a great look! Slapped it on my SS today and it feels and looks great/classy! Been looking for a while for a darker coloured leather band - and the price lowers the risk significantly:) Goes great with the watch!
Here’s a better close-up

Opting for space black stainless (Bonus with the DLC coating on the casing), if Apple had offered the gray ceramic this year, that probably would’ve been my choice, but I just have a strong liking for the high-gloss shine with space black paired with a sapphire display. And no, resale value is not important to me [Given the stainless Plummets], aesthetics is.

I have a S3 SBSS and I love how it blends in with the bezels. That's my only qualm with going Silver SS (or maybe Silver Ti) that you see the bezels and it makes it look much less premium. I wish there was a way to have the black bezels covered by SS material, or just make the screen go all the way to the SS. I suppose the solution is to use a dark watch face, but I really like some of the lighter watch faces.

I don’t mind the bezels. Actually prefer the contrast of the silver/gold models.

i went with the hermes silver stainless steel. first hermes and ss watch so im excited
I’ve had the Hermès models since they first offered them. I went with the Noir Hermès this time. The Hermès is the most “watch-like” to me because of the high quality leather. Also, Hermès watches are mostly square, so they have always had appropriate watch faces.

Just picked up my SS S5. My first (original) S0 watch was stainless, but my last two were aluminum. Forgot how luscious the silver stainless is.

Had a SS0, SS2, SSSB3 then last year went Aluminium S4. So glad to go back to stainless this year. Missed it so much. I know others don't care, but to me the extra money is worth it for the premium feel, the weight and the glass.

Gone for the gold with Milanese.....it is stunning IMO.

Love it.

funny I’ve had almost the same exact set up!! went from a space black s3 to an aluminum gold a4. I LOVED the space black, but wanted the new squires 4 features, but missed the stainless. I just bought a gold stainless s4 (at an amazing discount) because I missed the stainless so much.

No big deal u can go to an auto parts store and get the mag wheel polish. Put just a little bit on a towel and buff out

There's a thread about the Series 5 gold aluminum watch that complains about its pink shade. Some people are switching to the SS model but other maintain that the SS also has a somewhat pink shade to it. I can't see even a hint of pink in the Series 5 SS watch!
