So I got my “ open box excellent “condition space black 44mm stainless from Best Buy that I paid 715 for vs 799.

As I expected, the watch is brand new. Nothing was touched , the Milanese loop box wasn’t even opened. I can tell the watch was never taken out of the felt sleeve either.

I’m thinking maybe someone bought this and opened it and then for some reason decided they didn’t want it before they even set it all up.

So crazy. Can’t believe I was able to snagit.

Got my shipment notice this morning! Should be here any day now - stainless steel gold in 44mm - replacing my old Series 4 in the same configuration to get the always on screen - got a really good resale price locally and thankfully was able to get the friends and family discount from a friend that works at Apple, so not too terrible of an upgrade price to get the OAD.

There's a thread about the Series 5 gold aluminum watch that complains about its pink shade. Some people are switching to the SS model but other maintain that the SS also has a somewhat pink shade to it. I can't see even a hint of pink in the Series 5 SS watch!

me neither and im obviously a pink fan (hence the username). I see the pink on Gold AL but on the SS??? That's completely bronze or a very very dark/brown/dull gold (nice looking tho!)

posted this in the Show off your watch thread but i just love this beauty. SS series 5 hermes

44mm Stainless Steel and Lemon Cream Sports Band

Swims well too, I finally got to check the lengths without clicking the buttons only for it to dissapear momentarily with a message that the water lock feature was on.

Excellent bit of tech and glad I didn't have a dud one as it passed it's babptism :)

No big deal u can go to an auto parts store and get the mag wheel polish. Put just a little bit on a towel and buff out

Not a good idea to use mag polish. And I’ll tell you why, because it’s a ‘paste like substance’, and all it takes is to get a little bit of that residue stuck in some of the ports/speaker holes on the Apple Watch, and it’s ‘game over’. You’re better off using the Cape Cod polishing cloth, which won’t affect any of the ports and it doesn’t use any paste like substance. (Just make sure the cloth doesn’t come in contact with the display, due to the Oleophobic coating.)

So my Space Black Titanium Apple Watch was supposed to be delivered October 2-3, but that date has changed to November 20-26 lmao. So I picked up a stainless steel one today. I’ll keep it for 2 weeks, and if the status of my order doesn’t change, I’ll cancel it.

Curious, why do you think they pushed almost 6 weeks later for your Apple Watch? I would’ve called Apple directly on this personally.

Maybe I used it wrong but the Cape Cop cloth didn’t work for me. I make sure to use the bare minimum when I use the crome polish.

Make sure the serial number of the watch matches the one on the box

Usually get SBSS but just got my SS S5 yesterday and I think I’m liking it? Ha...
I noticed there were a few micro scratches out the box already which was a bit strange.
The crown is also very audible compared to my S4... how loud do your crowns click?

The way the digital crown might turn or have a different type of nuanced click, isn’t anything to be concerned with. The digital crowns all have slightly different manufacturing tendencies, as this has been reported over the years from other members. I’ve had 5 Apple Watches, one aluminum and five stainless, and they all made/had different clicks/sounds.

I got the gold SS with the gold milanese band, love it. Really rich looking, gold aluminum does not have the same classiness. I got tired of the S1 in space gray with black band.View attachment 863027

How is the gold in terms of durability? I have an SS S2, which is great, but does scratch up, but can be polished.

What about gold? Susceptible? Can it be polished?

I'm planning to get the SBSS S5 due to its well documented resistance to damage.

Here is a thread I started asking about the durability of the gold. It’s has PVD coating not as good as DLC but it’s ok.
U be the judge

Is it mostly women wearing the gold stainless steel, or are men wearing it also? I believe the OP’s watch is gold, yes?
