Wow!
I never heard about any of this. I have one of the very first T-style connectors on my 2006 MB Pro which I'm still using and looking at right now. It has done a lot of traveling too. If someone buys a new car and crashes it into a concrete wall, do they get a new car now? Geez!
Same here. What are people doing that they keep fraying- especially the poster who stated he went through SEVENTEEN MagSafe adapters. That's abnormal and the problem does not seem to be the cords, but the way he's using them.
I also much prefer my T-Style. Much better for my outlet location and the way I work with my MacBook.
"This agreement governs participation in the iTunes & App Store Affiliate Program only."
Is App Shopper an iTunes & App Store affiliate? No. So you're not just off-topic, but wrong. 2 for 2. Good job.

It appears that compensation is restricted to US residents. A little unfair, I feel - as I would meet the criteria for repayment if I were US resident![]()
Apple needs to stress test their designes in Arizona where exterior temperatures range upto 100 to 110 for extend times in the year. Cables just aren't designed to last in the punishing heat... and they should be.
If they were robust enough to take an Arizonan summer then no one else would have problems.
I've had the Dock connectors come part on me personally and the a few T-shaped chargers where I work.
#1 No one reads proper care guides and yank cords out.
#2 people bend and twist cables in the most hideous ways.
If Apple wants to keep selling to "consumers" and not "geeks" they'll need to do a much better job of idiot proofing their cables, which others have said so far, are overprice crap.
" that a settlement has been reached in a court case over the design of the connectors. "
Sometimes I wonder about Apple. It took a court case to make this right?
I came in with a frayed cable a year after i bought my original macbook pro (summer 2006) and the guy at the genius bar told me I had to been wrapping the cord incorrectly and its my fault and i would need to buy a new one. so i bought a new one. I dont have any proof of purchase, its not like i kept my receipt. So not really sure what to do now
