I'll be real, i got the 8 plus because of that god awful notch, but i was like, ok maby ill get used to it. I do like the idea behind face id, and the lack of the home button and fingerprint sensor i got mixed feelings about...but mostly it was that god awful notch that i was like...na.....

but even this morning, i was thinking to myself, maby i should just return the 8 and go for the 10! Then i read this stuff and im so happy i stuck with my 8 plus! When they do a plus size x with no notch, ill reconsider until then, happy beta testing!

Remember, the display is manufactured by Samsung.

Who knows? Apple sourced from others too. We just assumed they came from Samsung because it was published that apple made a deal with Samsung for millions of panels.

I find those arguments very interesting.

Reports about how great iphone X displays are:
=> Yea even though Samsung made them Apple did all the design and have high QA standards!

Reports about iphone x display issues:
=> SAMSUNG!!! I knew it! (shakes fist

I'll be keeping a close eye on mine. Production defects are inevitable. I just hope it is not wide-spread.

That’s the Kylo Ren Edition

I’ve had this issue before on a TV and it was a software issue not hardware.

oled is a stopgap until micro led comes out

i won't touch it with a barge pole

google oled image retention...

You are missing out big time. OLED crushes LCD. Image retention and burn in are very different.

Stuff like this happens all the time.
Could be a defect in the display, an assembly issue, bad/loose connector, etc.
Apple will figure it out and make corrections.

The amount of salt on this forum is unreal. Of course every first generation product has issues here and there. Even ironed out products have issues. No one is “beta testing” this phone. The only people that are saying that on this forum are those that got conned into buying the iPhone 8/8Plus, OR who can not afford the X.

I have the X and it is phenomenal. If you use an iPhone X, like actually USE the phone not just look at pics, the notch DOES NOT MATTER. If you USE the X, lack of Touch ID is a good thing. Face ID actually is easier.

It’s an amazing phone. Sure, some will have flaws. Any electronic device can. But there is NO NEED for the salty comments here. We all enjoy Apple products. If you missed out on the X because you didn’t have the money (or unwilling to pay $1200 for a phone) and you’re butt-hurt, just keep it to yourself.

The people who experience these issues though, they have a right to be upset after spending so much. This is a huge inconvenience.

I have not had any issues with my X thus far. Great experience overall.

Maybe I should have stuck to my gut and waited for nexts years phone. I ordered one Wed and not due to ship till Nov 30 - Dec 7 so hopefully I won't get one of the first run defects :) I did say it would probably be better to not get a first run unit so at least I'll have that going for me.
Hopefully
