People get so excited with brand new hardware designs that they forget about bendghazi, holdgate, etc. Comes with the territory. It doesn't mean the phone wasn't tested, or was rushed, or people are beta testing it. It's just brand new hardware and stuff pops up. There's a reason the iPhone 8 had no issues. The good thing for Apple, I suppose, is that none of this stuff sticks, as long as they don't start exploding I suppose.

Yes you should. Buy yourself one of those great Huawei phones. They never, ever have any defective ones...ever!! They are perfect in every way. If you can't understand that ANY time you make millions of something, you are going to have ones with problems, then yes please buy something else. This is only more true with ever more complicated devices.

I see the iPhone X as a V1.0 product.

Count me in as another victim. Wife's phone has same line out of the blue last night. Spent 2 hours on phone with chat support. Screen is now completely black, though haptic underneath still works, alarm works. Will have to show up to Apple store which is 45 min away from me. Wow!
Cracks me up seeing all the people who don't own an X bashing it every chance they get. "Oh no! 20 out of 3 million phones have a defective display! So glad I didn't ruin my life by buying one!" Lol, do these people even hear themselves?

Oh my, 50ish reports out of what? Millions? News flash, hardware fails, and new hardware sometime fails almost immediately. Those who don't have X's can thank their lucky stars, while the rest of us few million X users will have to fret over our perfectly working phones, knowing that Apple would replace them the moment we experienced a defect like this. Now, back to my life.
