Once you have a 5s, 6, 6s or 7 you don't need a new one. Focus on more important things like putting money towards your pension plans, save for living expenses, possible health issues later in life. I love post like this. While you are correct, the things mentioned are extremely important. How do you know that some if not most are able to do this and still enjoy the latest and greatest. It's funny that Macrumors has become more about financial advising then about rumors on brand new apple products. guess I didn't get the memo.

There's NO WAY Apple will put the "8" or "X" on sale with a 7s/7s+. No way.

The "8" will completely cannibalize the other two iterations no doubt about it. Why would Apple even think of putting them all on sale -- same date. Makes no sense.

If I were Apple I'd push as many upgraders to the 7s etc bc we all know that those of us early adopters will truly wait out any so called "delays". The net effect will also keep the "8" fresher longer --- into the quarters especially when Samesong releases its next galaxy model.

There's no news here.

To me it's all according to plan. If the 8 makes its appearance later in the year the more coveted it will be pushing stronger sales into typically slower quarters. What's the downside???

Every time there's a launch I casually walk into my local AT&T store around 11am and get the exact phone I want. So far I haven't left empty handed. Once I had to get more SSD than I wanted, but I don't regret more storage.
